My DD will be starting preschool in June. They require a 1" KinderMat. I've looked in Wal-Mart and Target but can't find any KinderMats or nap mats. I'm sure they won't have them until the back-to-school items are out.

Is there anywhere else I can find them? I checked Amazon and they are over $20 with shipping. Is this a good price?

Amazon has some for 14.99 but you need to spend $25 for free shipping. Look in the home section to see if you could add essential that you will use. Vaccuum bags, trash bags, or something else small to make up the $10.

You are correct -- those are considered "seasonal" items at the big-box stores (and won't be on the shelves until July, at the earliest).

Our local Wal Mart keeps a few year round. They are usually located in the office supply section. Did you try that section or even an Office Max/Office Depot etc.

If you want to drive to Lake City next Friday night, or WDW next Saturday, I can bring you ours. :) I don't think we'll need it again.

They had some "nap mats" at my local Target this week. They were around the luggage, travel, backpacks, and camping area- all kinda near each other at my store. Can't remember the exact shelf.

Does the brand matter? Could you get an inexpensive camping mat for your DD? I have a couple of foam camping mats that were $7 each at a local discount store.

I'll be at Blizzard Beach tomorrow.

Thanks everyone. I'll take one more look at Wal-mart office section and Target camping area. I had asked someone at each store but I know employees don't know every item that stores sell.

I'll also call our OfficeMax and Office Depot too.

It doesnt' have to be KinderMat, just need to be the folding type and 1" thick.

I purchased my DS' nap mats at JC Penney. They were in the baby section. They are cloth with a little pillow and blanket built into them and they roll up. (Our preschool has cots for the kids and they place the nap mats on top of the cots.) I *think* they were 19.99, but I had a coupon which made them cheaper.

Try a teacher's / Educational supply store. There is usually one around but you may not know about it, and they may have them.

They sell the original KinderMats -- and you can buy them individually or by the case. They have really cute pillow pets, too!

Not sure if you have a Big Lots! near you, but they had some last month when we went shopping for the church:thumbsup2
