Anyone know whats up with HDDR??

We want to go to the HDDR on January 13 2007. When I tried to call thinking it could be booked up to 1 year in advance they said that as of January 1, 2007 it would need to be booked at the 180 day mark instead. I just tried to book it through 180 plus 10 and the CM first said it was no problem, then she pulled it up. She said it is on hold and can't be booked for any dates after Jan 1, 2007 at this time. Do you think that it said that just because I am not at 180 days exactly or do you think that changes are being made that havn't been announced yet? I hope they are not canceling it, my niece would be disappointed.

Policy change effective 1/1/07 that dinner shows that use to be booked one year in advance can only be booked 180 days in advance now.

just try to call, and they aren't taking reservations for HDDR at all for times after Jan 1! what's up? could be interesting! why isn't there anything on the rumor boards about this?

Yes - thats what I understood as well, but they aren't even taking them at 180 days at this point. That is what is confusing me and making me wonder what's going on.

I booked HDDR 180 days out for 10/31/06 and had no problem. I would call back and try another CM.

I think the whole point of this is that the other posters are trying to book AFTER Jan. 1, 2007. Yours is for 2006.

that's right. i have now talked to 3 different CM's, the note they have gotten is that there are NO reservations currently being accepted for HDDR in the 2007 year. there MUST be infor re this out there! somewhere! where are all our "insiders" who do their magic in giving us the scoop?

If I'm understanding correctly, the report is that even those within their 180 day window haven't been able to book Hoop for 2007. It's held every night, so I don't see what the hold up can be...unless they're planning to reduce the number of shows for slower times of year. Eek!

Hmmm, need to keep on eye on this one. We are doing the Luau in Sept and planning to do HDDR in May, but if there is something going on I may have to pray that I can switch.

I can't imagine they would get rid of it though since it seems like it is so popular. Maybe it is just some sort of computer system thing and they haven't put it in yet.

Oh no. I'll be interested to see what comes of this too. I am planning on going in December 2007 on my 30th birthday. I hadn't heard about not being able to book 1 year ahead anymore either (actually, I thought it was 2 years!).

I'm sure this show won't go away though. Sounds like a computer glitch kind of thing.

just FYI, when i called today to check again, after i was again told that no HDDR reservations are currently being made for jan 1 2007 or after, i flat out asked if there was a danger they were doing away with HDDR, and the cm said she couldn't imagine that was happening since it is a VERY popular event. she suggested i call back in a week. a few days ago, a differnt cm suggested i call back on july 31st.

the mystery continues. i spent the day scanning other discussion boards, and i haven't found ANYTHING.

I jusu made my ADR's through the GF, and they did it all for me and e maile dme back saying I got everything but that they couldn't book HDDR yet either, and this is from a CM doing the booking for me at the hotel......VERY strange indeed...

well, i'm leaving this morning for two weeks of mission trips with our church, i guess i'll have to wait and find out what's going on with HDDR until i get back. good luck running this one down. i am anxious to see what happens.

The new policy of the 180 day thing after the first of the year has been posted on allearsnet for a couple months now.

But it is weird that they aren't taking any at all if you are in your 180 day window.

Hopefully they are just getting their computer systems updated.

Just a possibility, but since I have heard rumblings of a few Epcot restaurants opting out of the DDP on Jan 1, perhaps that is the case here as well, and since 2007 DDP details have not been released (i think) yet, until that happens, perhaps HDDR reservations are on hold until this time. Again, I am just speculating!!!

I was finally able to make an ADR today (8/9) for January 3rd, 2007 at 5 pm.

They have changed the pricing structure as there are now three levels of pricing. Level 1 puts you in front of the stage, Level 2 puts you on the sides and towards the back of the stage, and Level 3 puts you in the upper level. I unfortunately was just thrilled to get a reservation in Level 1 and didn't get the breakdown of the pricing.
