Anyone know what work they will be doing on SAB in Nov/Dec?

We are staying at the BCV after Thanksgiving and we just got a letter stating that from Nov 7 through Dec something (I forget), portions of the main pool (SAB) at the YC/BC will be closed for construction. It did state that those sections not affected by the work would be open for our enjoyment, and then listed all of the other pools available at the resort.

Anyone know what they will be doing, and what sections of the pool might be closed. We are bringing friends and I want them to be able to enjoy the pool. They have young kids so I'm hoping the shallow pool with the sand will be open when we are there.

Anyone have any pictures of SAB. I would like to see what the best pool in WDW looks like. I have heard a lot about it, but never seen it.

From what I have read on these boards (so don't put too much stock in it!!) Nov 1-23 the sandbar area will be closed for rehab. After Thanksgiving through the Dec 22 another section (perhaps the lazy river) will be closed. Then Jan2 - Feb 25 the slide and main pool area will be closed. I hope this helps....

That is helpful, Lisa.......and I hope it's true.

We arrive the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov 27) and will be at BCV for three nights. Our Grand Gathering includes 2 six-year-olds, 2 three-year-olds, 2 one-year-olds, and a three month old. We NEED the kiddie/sandbar part of the pool to be open. I hope that's the case as we are bringing friends and we REALLY want them to be able to enjoy the pool.
