Anyone know what the current incentive is for buying SSR?

I notice you said you received annual passes as well as the $10 incentive. Was your purchase an add-on or a new membership? Is there a minimum point purchase required to receive the passes and how many passes do you receive?

Our purchase was a new membership, not an add-on.

Regarding the annual passes, there are two (DH and I) and I believe that this was something that was put into the offer after we saw had our initial presentation and came back home to run numbers and make our decision because I do not remember hearing about that incentive at the presentation. I don't think that there was a minimum point purchase required for these as we only purchased 200 pts.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Vickie. It has been a long time since we took the tour, and since we waited so long to decide to buy, I don't know what incentives, if any, they will offer us. It would be nice to get the passes.

To answer a previous question, the annual passes are not premium passes. We have received some which I will not need to activate until January. We will upgrade them at that time to premium.

Hopefully this isn't a double post.

I just bought my SSR contract, and am waiting for my fedex package.

The points are $101 per point. Closing costs are just over $200 (more than 2, but less than 210, I just don't remember exactly). They are offering either 1) $10 off per point, or 2) a matching number of builders points good for the current use year.

I bought 150 points, so my contract is $15,150. I used my Disney visa for the down payment, and it's 6 months same as cash. I took the matching builder points. My use year begins Dec 06, but the builders points are available at closing. IMO, the 150 points were worth more than the $1500 savings on the overall contract. I'm using them for "splurge" trips.

I don't know what the referral incentive is. My referring people haven't gotten it yet.

I was considering taking the $10 per point but you have all talked me into taking the bonus points. I think we could take DGP sooner with the extra points--rather than waiting a year or two. My question is are these points bankable? If you joined DVC say in September with a Dec UY--you would have a year to use the points or bank them? Right?

Thanks.

I just got my FedEx package today w/our add-on paperwork. In addition to our two tickets and giganto bag, we received $650 "developer's credit" downpayment.
I thought after reading the prior posts that maybe it would be a choice of one or the other, but I got both.

Yes you can bank them. In fact, after you make your first reservation, they bank any remaining points automatically.

Enjoy!
