Anyone Know the difference of AKV Value vs AKV Standard room?

Planning to go in October 5 - 12, studio value room is 74 points while studio standard is 90 points. Does anyone know the difference between the two?

I've not stayed there but I believe that the value room is actually a converted hotel room, not a dedicated DVC room and is therefore smaller.

The Value studios are 316 sq ft, the Standard View, Savanna View and Concierge studios are 355 sq ft so the Values are about 40 square feet smaller. They are located in the short hallways along the front of the hotel so the view could be of the Sunset Savanna, the pool or the parking lot. The Standard View rooms in Jambo House face the pool area.

All of the DVC villas in Jambo House were created by converting AKL hotel rooms. AKL had two different size rooms on the 5th floor: "standard" size rooms and "deluxe" size rooms. The Value studios, 1BRs and 2BRs were created by converting those smaller "standard" size hotel rooms, the other AKV villas were created by converting the larger "deluxe" size hotel rooms.

In a value room you will mostg likely be looking out the front of the hotel toward the road/parking lot or service area. Standard is basically pool view or you may see atiny sliver of a savanna, the higher you are the better. All depends how much time tou will spend in your room, I always go for the savanna view, it's the reason I stay there. Right now all rooms are still in the AKL and are converted hotel rooms. This is not a bad thing, they did a fantastic job on the renovations and the lodge is really cool.

Actually, there are only 2 value 2BR lockoffs that overlook the parking lot, the rest of the value accommodations have sunset savanna or pool views.

I'll be able to answer you from first-hand experience after May 2. That's the day I move from a standard view studio at DAKV to a value studio. I've wondered about the differences, so I just decided to make one trip a "room experience" trip. I'm trying standard, value, and savannah view studios all in one week.
