Haven't heard of anything, but then I could be wrong. We will be in WDW on Mother's Day too but we are not going to a park that day instead my 2 DDs and I have ADRs for the Afternoon Tea at the GF and then that night we are meeting back up with DH and going over to Narcoossee's for dinner. Hopefully someone else will come along and answer your question for you....have a wonderful Mother's Day
1) WDW used to go all out for Mom's Day.
. . . huge Epcot lunch
. . . roses at all other eateries
2) Now, there are only a few
. . . Captain's Grille Holiday Buffet
. . . Chef Mickey's Mother's Day Brunch
. . . Portobello Mother's Day Pre-Fixe
. . . The Wave... of American Flavors Mother's Day Brunch
3) Some restaurants still give roses, but hit-and-miss.
I do not believe there are any special Mother's Day events at restaurants inside the parks. Rusty has outlined some of the resort restaurants that do special brunches or menus. And they used to hand out flowers at the park entrances to mothers (carnations, not roses), which they no longer do.
The Epcot brunches on Easter and Mother's Day were discontinued about three years ago.
1) Hey.
2) I'm a guy.
3) I know how to order them.
4) Not what they necessarily look like.
5) MrsRustyScupper is the gardener.
6) I know
. . . green things
. . . not green things
7) That is close is enough.
Hey Rusty, maybe they did give out roses in the restaurants...but it was carnations at the park entrances. They used to give them to all the women. That bugs me, personally, as I am not a mother and they shouldn't have been giving me anything, but I can see them not wanting to ask every woman entering the park if they were a mother.
