Looking for ways to save on a big online Home Depot purchase. Right now I can buy gift cards at the local grocery store and earn fuel perks (.10/gal on every $50 gift card). I need at least $800 in gift cards. Wasn't sure if anyone knew of a better deal out there.

Use a credit card that earns cash back at grocery stores to buy the cards.
Wait for 4x fuel rewards so you earn $0.20/gallon for each $50 gift card
Amex has, in the past, offered extra cash back for purchases as certain stores ($20 or $25 back for spending $100 at Staples; $5 for spending $25 at Toys R Us). You can buy Home Depot cards at some places to qualify.

I buy Home Depot and Lowes from cardcash.com all the time. Never had a problem though I do try to spend them pretty quickly. We are doing lots of home projects.
