We are headed to WDW in a couple of weeks. I wanted to select places I could eat before we got there. I had major issues finding food last time (cant eat more than 10g of fat at a meal due to medical issues). I've found that Im safer eating at counter service places that have nutrition menus, so I can look up the fat content. 10g is really low and limits most of my options.

Anyone know if there is a way to get a nutritional menu for the theme parks and my resort, before I get there? Or if its online somewhere?

Thank you sooooooo much!

Disney does not publish or provide that information, online or in the parks. If you have a special dining need, you can call them in advance and have that noted on your reservations and the chef will accommodate. I would go to the DISabilities board -- there is lots of good information there on dining options for those with allergies, specific health concerns, etc.

They do have the nutrition menu for counter service only, in the parks. I had to read it last time I was there. Most places didnt have an entree that I could eat. I'll have to see if I can get them to fax me a copy. Bummer. Was hoping it was online. :( Their website says they dont have one. What's up with that?

I think it has to do with the fact that meals change frequently at Disney, as well, there are seasonal dishes.

It's probably way easier to just provide this info once in awhile, as opposed to keeping a website or document updated on a daily basis in order to send to guests.

If you contact them, the chef of the restaurant will help you directly, Tiger

Thanks - I'll have to remember that next time someone asks - I didn't think they had it at all (I remember someone talking about reading the ingredients on a bag at a CS though!).

There apparently is an ingredient list you can check at CS if you're concerned about allergies, veganism or vegetarianism.

I don't know if this also shows full nutritional information (calories per serving, number of servings per portion, fat content, sodium content, etc)

I have had very good service speaking with the chef at each restaurant - they've often whipped up dishes for me that weren't on the menu.

My fat restriction isn't quite as strict as yours, but we're in the ballpark.

The email is easy to remember - specialdiets@disneyworld.com If you write to this address, they'll send you a form where you can provide your details, and give a list of your reservations - those restaurants will all be notified in advance of what you need.
