Anyone know if the EE5k medal is a compass like last year?

I just saw a picture of the EE5k medal for this year. It looks cool.
It was hard to tell from the picture if it opens up like last years to have a compass underneath.
Does anyone have any information on it? Does it have a compass like last years or was that just for the inaugaral race?

Can't say for sure, but my guess is that it does open. Note that the compass doesn't actually work, it's just for show.

Hmm, I wish someone had more info lol I know you cant use it but the fact that it opened up last year was so unique thats why I am hoping it is similiar. We will have to wait I guess unless someone has more info...

I saw the medals at the expo for the Trek Tri a couple of weeks ago. They had a table with the new RFTT medal, the ToT medals (might be old ones- I didn't go last year), an EE medal, the old Goofy and old Princess. I took a picture of it- the EE medal said 2008 Inaugural and had the compass. I thought it was strange that the new RFTT medal was out there, but not the new EE... I don't know if they are keeping the EE one secret or if that was just an oversight...

Lol too funny. There is a picture up on the EE 5k page but it is hard to tell if it will open or not like last years.

Oh well I guess I will know in a little over a week. Providing my husband and I can get our butts to finish
