Okay, so we are set to leave in about 4 hours for DL (weather permitting and allowing us over the grapevine). I know it is going to be raining there this weekend and wanted to get my 2 year old daughter some rain boots and poncho/raincoat. Wouldn't you know I've been all over this town looking for some and can't find a darn thing :( . I'm hoping I can find something at the park.

Has anyone been there recently and seen anything? I'm pretty sure I've seen ponchos there before.
Thanks!!

I know they have child and adult size Mickey ponchos, but I've never seen rainboots. Doesn't mean they don't have them somewhere, I just haven't seen them!

Target has raingear in their camping section. I think pants and a jacket will run around $8.

According to the guide books, all or almost all the park shops have rain ponchos for sale; they may not always be out on the floor, however. If you need to buy one but don't see them, ask a clerk. :)

When it rains, they bring all the rain gear up to the front of the shops, for easy access.

I was just at a local Target today (in Irvine). They had quite a selection of rain boots, raincoats, hats, and kids umbrellas. You will pass several targets on your drive down...stop at one and load up. It is going to RAIN on Sunday...hard...all day!

Good luck with the drive tonight!

Thanks everyone! :thanks:

I managed to find some boots on clearance at another Target. As for a poncho, I'll find something there. I'd love to buy us some mickey ponchos. :earsboy:

We're off! :woohoo:

They definitely sell ponchos. I think they are big moneymakers and they cost about 4-5 times a poncho at Target.

They're not Mickey ponchos. :confused3 They're "Disney Parks" ponchos. I think they have a picture of the castle & clouds on them - can't recall for sure from our early Jan. trip.

I remember the ponchos at DL being pretty inexpensive. Their umbrellas were $10 (about the same as at Target).

As of yesterday, Adult ponchos were $7. Sorry, that's all I can vouch for. As well, the Adult ones that have the DisneyParks logo on them. Looked like the youth ones still had Mickey.

They have different kinds. At different stores I saw the DLR ponchos, but elsewhere I saw (and bought) Mickey ponchos. Bought the Mickeys at Greetings from CA in DCA, bought a DLR poncho in '05 at the Indy store, saw different-looking DLR ponchos at the store up from Splash yesterday.

In a way I recommend dollar-store ponchos, BUT those are so thin and impossible to do anything with after. The DLR/Mickey ponchos are thicker, and can be (I know it b/c I do it) folded up neatly and used for future trips.

WannaBeAPrincess, we were there on the same day, hope you had as much fund as I did!
