Anyone know how hard it is to get a ticket reservation for Shanghai now?

I'm trying to gauge how hard it will be to get a reservation to get in the parks a month or two after opening when things aren't as crazy as that couple of weeks of opening. Grasping at straws over here. Just trying to figure out some sort of pattern or clue as to how hard it will be to get a reservations to get in the parks for my September trip.

I was disappointed, but okay with the rest. I'm not going to fly across the country to not be able to get in the parks.

Go to the SDL website and check availability.
I went on it out of curiosity for the day the reservation system went live to buy for the first day and after 5 minutes of the system being opened full day tickets were sold out. I haven't checked since.
But you can check everyday

Are you staying onsite? I’m assuming if you have a room booked or a valid ticket, you’ll be able to get a reservation.

Disney stopped taking bookings or selling tickets so they can focus on the people who already have those. Once they get that worked out, Disney will probably open up limited bookings and ticket sales. May guess is they want to be in a position to say that if you have a ticket and a room, you can do to a park.

We have a large group going. Everyone has their room booked at the Yacht Club. Some have tickets and some haven't gotten them yet. That is much of the concern.

I posted this earlier today on another thread. It is from the chat feature on WDW website, which I guess only counts as speculation???

Chatted with CM and nothing new in the script yet, but I did try to get clarification about what we have speculated:

Since we have resort reservations later this year but have not yet re-purchased annual passes, will we be able to make park reservations when the new system is enacted? Thank you

I'm glad to hear you are planning a magical vacation with us! Because theme park capacity will be significantly limited as we welcome Guests back to the magic, we will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system that will require all Guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance. At this time, we are temporarily pausing new ticket sales and Disney Resort hotel reservations so we can focus on Guests with existing tickets and reservations. Existing ticket holders and Annual Passholders will be able to make reservation requests in phases before new tickets are sold; we’ll be reaching out to these Guests soon to provide additional details. We will resume new ticket sales and hotel reservations after that period of time. Theme park reservations will be limited due to attendance limitations and will be subject to availability. More details about this new reservation system will be available soon.

So if someone has a ticket but not a room reservation, will they be able to make park reservations?

Sally

We do not know at this time, we only have the information I listed above - any other delineations are not yet available to us.

Any idea of when you will have details?

Sally

Not at this time.

So to clarify, you will be reaching out to guests who have both resort reservations and tickets, as well as to annual passholders, sometime in the near future. Other than that, including guests with resort reservations but no tickets as well as ticket holders with no room, information is not currently available. Is that correct?

That's correct, keep checking back for updates!

Third party ticket sellers are still selling tickets. I just linked mine yesterday. I don’t know how long they will continue to have inventory or if Disney will disable ticket linking anytime soon. I’m also going with a large party but most of them don’t want to put out that kind of money right now when the reservation isn’t until October. At least one has already bailed out. Two are on the fence. And four are content to just enjoy the resort and dining if it comes down to that.

It sounds like if your whole group still wants to go, the surest option is to buy tickets through a third party seller with inventory and link them in MDE. If everyone has both resort reservations and tickets, I cannot imagine you would not be able to make park reservations.

From what I’m gathering from various speculation threads + what has been said I predict phases will be
—Resort Guests with Packages/APs
—Resort Guests with no tickets my purchase/non Resort Guest APs can start pounding the app
-Non AP offsite ticket holders
—General Public

this is based on the AP get first priority then hours later it will be difficult for APs to guarantee entry due to popularity/added restrictions

Yes. We've been trying to go that route. Some tickets went through and got connected to reservations. Some are still "processing" two days later. I don't know if that's because they sold more tickets than they actually HAD or what is happening there. I have tried calling repeatedly and haven't been able to get ahold of them
