Anyone know anything about this area of Orlando?

I am looking into renting a vacation home and found a great rate on one. I asked the owner where it was located and she said it was on Stillwater Drive off of East Osceola. I know it is about 10 minutes from WDW and 15-20 from Universal. I just want to make sure it is a decent, safe area. It is listed as Other Kissimmee Properties on VRBO. It's 4 bedrooms/3 baths with a pool for $595/week. If anyone knows anything about this area, it would really help me a lot. TIA!

It's fairly close to the airport and on the far east end of Osceola Parkway in a residential area. To get to Disney in 10 minutes you would have to hop on Osceola Parkway. I would think it would take longer than 20 min to Universal.

It will show you where it is. I don't know anything about what the neighbourhood is like. You'll probably need a local for that.

Yeah, it's saying 15 miles, 22 minutes. I am having a hard time finding houses closer to Universal. I guess that area does not allow home rentals or so someone told me.

No there's no short term rentals allowed in Orange County where Universal is. That's why there's so many in Kissimmee which is in Osceola county and also Polk and Lake counties.
You may be able to get a good deal in the Davenport area either on Route 27 or down at the south end of Old Lake Wilson Rd. : Reserve at Town Center #131, Lake Wilson Preserve #6 on the map etc . You can access I-4 through Champions Gate (exit 58).

I'm betting East Oceola is a lot more than 15 minutes to Disney. I've been out that way, and it's a quite a ways (and a couple tolls on the Osceola parkway). There are some convenient shops though in the Hunter's Creek area.

We stay on the East side of Disney and we can get there in 15 minutes quite easily. Also, we have had quotes for homes in Orange county in the past so they do exist, just not so many of them.

Cumbrian Lakes is on the south end of Poinciana Blvd. It's #69 on that map. The closest subdivision with pool homes would be Indian Wells #126 but there's not many rentals there, it's mostly full time residences. If you don't have to have a separate home then Vista Cay #123 has nice townhouses and it's on Universal Blvd near the Convention Center.

Vista Cay looks like it is kind of pricey, especially in July. I'd rather have a pool home too, since we will have two teens with us. I'll look into Indian Wells.

We've stayed on the west side at Sunset Lakes and at Cumbrian Lakes on the east side. It takes us about 15 to 20 mins from Cumbrian Lakes whereas Sunset was closer to 25 to 30 minutes.

We passed Indian Wells when we went to Lake Buena Vista mall and I would say it's an older community. Indian Wells is probably only 5 minutes closer than the communities on Poinciana Blvd.
