Anyone know anything about Space Mountain Mission 2 @ Disneyland Paris???

Do you think it will ever come to WDW Orlando??? My son is a coaster freak and found out that Disneyland Paris has Space Mountain Mission 2. Anyone have any reviews, pictures or anything about what it is like compared to WDW Orlando's Space Mountain. There is only pics of the loading dock that we can find. Anyone have any pics of the inside? Really would be cool if it could come to WDW Orlando

The DLP Space Mountain is nothing like the one at WDW. The ride is based on Jules Verne's From the Earth to the Moon where you are shot out of a cannon to get into space. I only rode it once, so details are fuzzy for me, but I think it goes upside down. It is also much much faster than the one at WDW and I would compare it more to Rockin' Roller Coaster than WDW Space Mountain. It's a lot of fun for roller coaster fans. I would love for it to come to WDW, but I doubt it will.

Don`t have any pics but it is a fantastic ride. Yes you get shot up very quickly and it is a buzz. It was the one thing I was kinda disappointed about in WDW, Space Mountain was a bit tame compared to the Paris one.
Unless they knock the WDW down and start again I doubt the will replicate it which is a shame, as it really is good.

Yup! Space Mountain in Paris is much more similar to Rock N Roller Coaster than the actual stateside version of SM. It is a much more high tech ride with rapid launch, inversions, special effects and on ride audio.

There is a rumor of a SM refurb in Orlando but i would expect something more similar to the one in Anaheim than the Paris one.

YOU ALL ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the quick replies thus far and the great pics! Can't wait to show ds. He'll be sooooooooooo excited to even see the pics from someone that has been there. That would be cool if that would come to WDW. I know my ds and I just recently rode Space Mountain @ WDW ORLANDO last month May 08 and he LOVED LOVED LOVED it!!!!!!! It was his 1st time riding it. I had rode on it when dh and I were 1st married and lived in Orlando before we had kids. It was fun to relive the thrill with my ds. DD didn't want anything to do with it, LOL DS will be excited when I show him the pics posted here and the reviews about what it is like. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! The DISBOARDS ROCK sooooooooo much! You can always get an answer on here for whatever you need regarding your Disney fix I got soooooooooo much guidance planning our 1st WDW family trip and we had a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!! Already excited for our 2009 return vacation Again, thanks for the quick responses and I look forward to more THANKS AGAIN
