Anyone know anything about Boardwalk Inn?

We are considering going to Disney for our 4th time, and Boardwalk Inn is looking better and better. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it worth the money, or should we consider staying somewhere else? Is the hotel itself good for 2 adults, and 3 children of varying ages? How about transportation? Rooms?

I can't speak for the Inn portion (we rented DVC points) but you will LOVE the area. You can't beat being able to walk to Epcot and MGM (excuse me, Hollywood Studios ) and there are always night-time activities going on at the Boardwalk after the parks close. We had fun watching the street performers and listening to music.

BWI has been DH's favorite resort so far. He loved the whole 20's-40's theme, and the whole Boardwalk area.

Kids loved the close proximity to Epcot and HS - both just a boat ride away.

This was not my favorite. Loooong walk from our room to the main door. No CS - altho they have lots of options for snacking, they don't have a place for a quick burger. You could do ESPN or Big River, but the bill seemed larger than a usual CS place. BUS SERVICE: to MK and AK were hit or miss. Lots of stops, since BWI shares busses with BC/YC and Swan/Dolphin. BWI pool area is no big deal.

CMs were great and housekeeping was excellent. Boardwalk area is fun at night.

Great for Epcot & Studio lovers!
Great people watching and fun at night, boats to the parks are always perfect and I think some of the best CMs. Nice option to be able to walk back & forth to both of these parks.

Access to YC & BC so your dining option double...IMO the best place to rent a bicycle.
We really like the FF & Bellvue Room.
