I called Disney today and no one could help me. I have heard that there are certain days that MK has a Magic Hour for age 5 and under - party of Disney's Magical Beginnings. I would love to be able to do this but can't find any info!!! Not even from Disney! They told me that they are doing it but don't have any dates yet??? :confused3 Anybody know anything? We're going at the end of Sept and early Oct. Thanks!

Last I heard they weren't doing it this year, so I would be interested to know if things have changed. I would assume that the dates would have already been posted though, as I think it usually started late August or September.

I also heard that it was done and not happening this year.

That's what I asked the CM on the phone. If they're not doing it, then that's fine. Actually makes things easier for me since I would have to change my schedule to go. But she said that it's on the schedule just no dates or times??? She even asked a supervisor??

I had already pretty much given up hope on this :sad2:
But if they do have it, dds will be soo excited!

Let us know if you find anything else out :goodvibes

Will do. I will be googling like a mad person til I find a definitive answer:rotfl:

grrrr, I read all about this on Tour Guide Mike but since this post I went back and checked and the dates were 2007. I'm glad I checked so we won't be disappointed. I wish stuff like that was taken off that site :(

We went last time during Magical Beginnings. It wasn't for 5 and under. Anyone on site could go to MB. From what I understand they are no longer doing it. It really wasn't any different than EMH.

I called last month and the CM checked everywhere she could think of and couldn't find anything about it.

I also wrote to the Moms Panel on the Disney website and they said they didn't think it was going to happen or else Disney would have released info by now.

Actually, it WAS different than regular EMH :) During the Magical Beginnings Fantasyland EMH the characters were out in full force playing games with the kids, riding the rides with them, etc. My daughter got to sit next to Chip and ride with him on the carousel. She also played games and sang songs with Minnie and Daisy and played Hide and Go seek with Pooh. It was priceless and one of the best memories of our trip. This was not your typical EMH.

It was very different that regular EMH. The characters in the MK came out and played with the kids. I have wonderful pictures of my DD playing with Minnie, SNow White and Alice and the Mad Hatter. I was "advertised" for the younger children but they did not stop older children from entry.

I was so totally bummed when I read various places online that Little Ones Travel Time isn't happening this year! As a result of it being canceled, we made different plans for our Oct 08 family vacation (but yay now turns out DD and I are going to WDW in Dec with my Dad and stepmom).

I thought Magical Beginnings was pure Disney magic! It was one full hour with barely any lines for all of the rides little kids love most. From what I saw, it was really only families with little kids - our DD was 2.5 when we went last Oct.

When we walked into Fantasyland, Peter Pan & Wendy grabbed DD by the hand and took her off to play follow the leader. Then Mickey and Pluto invited her to play simon says. Goofy and Chip/Dale were riding the carousel with the kids, and Stitch was riding Dumbo.

We also took advantage of the free Playhouse Disney concert series at DHS. We saw Dan Zanes - other weeks had Doodlebops, Ralph's World, Johnny & the Sprites, etc.

Where did you see Dan Zanes? DD LOVES him and we would love to see him there!

We saw Johnny and the Sprites...it was great. This is kinda sad that they got rid of that program!

To the last Poster...Dan Zanes (and the others) appeared at DHS for concerts during the Little One's Magical Beginning program for the past two years.

Yeeeeah, I had almost forgotten we got to see the "Poodlepops" (Doodlebops) TWO years in a row. :dance3: My DD LOVED it-but I can't say I will "miss" them this year:upsidedow LOL

I guess you had a better experience with it. We didn't find it to be as magical if you will. I'm glad your kids had a great time. It sounds like it was great for them!:cutie:

Just wanted to post our magical moments....

We didn't know this was going on but had 8:30am reservations at CP and got to the park before 8. There was a special line for those with breakfast ADR, so they let us in 5min before everyone else. We thought it would be cool to just show the kids the park when no one was there.
We got a picture in front of the castle with 1 other person in it.

Then we noticed the carousel was running, so we went and checked it out. It was loaded with characters (Mary Popins, Stitch, Chip&Dale, Wendy, Peter Pan, Minnie, and plenty more), just waving to those there. My wife was in tears.
Slowly, a group of 2 or 3 characters at a time they got off, shook hands with the kids and went to different parts of Fantasyland to interact with the kids.

Stitch went over to the Dumbo ride and was selecting a child from each group to ride with. Some mix up in the counting of people or whatever but Stitch took my Dumbo!!! My wife had to ride with both kids (DS3/DD3)... No big deal, but the kids loved the fact that "Stitched kicked daddy off Dumbo"
Had to make breakfast, but it was special...

Then went back later in the week, this time in the know....

This time Stitched picked DS to ride with. He was thrilled but once again, "Stitch kicked daddy off Dumbo"

After that the kids played duck/duck/goose with Minnie & Snow White. And met a few other characters.

Anyways, it is really too bad this does not appear to be happening this year. We are going back again in Oct and was really hoping it would be going on again.

How awesome for both of you!!

I didn't even know about this. Wish they were still doing it. My kids would have been on :cloud9:.

I just emailed this question on the Disney website. I've done this for other things and they usually get back to me pretty quickly. I promise I will post their response asap!!! Maybe I should reference this thread so they will know how much people want it!!:goodvibes
