I want to purchase some pins for our trip for my kids to trade. I need 20-30. Can someone tell me a seller who is honest?

I've bought from 'weluvpins26' successfully. However, anyone with more then 20 or so positive feedback as a seller, I would be more than comfortable with. Ebay affords you buyers quite a bit of protection.

Good luck!

I just bought a bunch of different pins from many different sellers and luckily they were all good. Usually if the feedback is good or they mention they are tradeable is a good sign.

WRONG....we just bought 100 pins on eBay from a seller who has generally good feedback, and stated the pins were legit and tradeable. Mind you I am not new to pins, and have worked for a largest collectibles dealer on the East Coast as a Disney Pin Expert. And I got jammed. Of the 100 pins maybe 20 were legit. I'm in the process of deciding if I want to give the seller the chance to correct this, or just do a fraud complaint with Paypal and do a chargeback.

This is why I asked. I know the feedback really doesn't tell me anything. I just hoped someone had a seller they had bought from that was honest.

My suggestion would be if you are buying a lot, make sure the photo shown is the pins you are buying. That way with a little research, you can find out the pinpics #'s and see if there are unauthorized versions in circulation of the pins.

Of the 100 pins we just bought I could only authenticate 28 as legit pins, 22 were without doubt counterfiet/scrappers, and the remaining 50 I am downright unsure of most of them. Allthough, the coloring seems ok, they have the right backstamps, they just dont look or feel right to me. And of course of those 50, I do not already have the pin to compare it side by side.

I am a very honest eBay seller. However, I don't currently have anything up for sale on eBay.

Another better option is the sale board on Dizpins.com. I agree about the ebay auction thing- If they post a generic pic for several auctions please take that as a red flag. There are legit pins on ebay- one just needs to do their homework and bid for the good ones.

I know some great sellers who sell high end LEs and very hard to find pins. These pins run anywhere from 10.00 on up to 500.00, not quite trading pins...;) There are some good sellers there, I will to go back and see who I bought from in the early days when I bought traders, now have enough of my own traders.

See if the seller will make it right, if not file a chargeback for crappy pins. What was the description on them? Did the seller not live up to his own description? If not, file a Not as Described with Paypal. If the description was vague about what you would get, it can be tough to get your money back. Do you have the auction number so we can see what it says?

Thank you for the suggestions, but I am a professional eBay seller, and have had my eBay business for over 10 years. So I know every process inside and out. I am also a 30+ year pin collector, so I know pins.

I have to disagree with something you said. It is VERY easy to get you money back on ebay if you use Paypal. There is NO SUCH THING as seller protections, regardless of what they try and tell you.

I will not reveal the auction # here to protect the identity of my buying account, and I cannot diclose the sellers ID because of slander liability due to this being a public forum.

I've been dealing with "indy8888disney" for years! They are safe & reliable!!!
