Just looking to hear some reports from people recently back from the Poly. :sunny: Anything new? Any little changes? How was mousekeeping?

Just trying to pass the time waiting 22 days to get there!!! :cool1:

Hey I'll be at the Poly in 22 days also. I was reading that and I thought well I'll be at AKL on the 27th and I'll be checking in the Poly on the 29th, then it dawned on me. We will be there at the same time! :cool1:

It would be very cool for our familes to meet up if time permits. I can't wait to check into the Poly and just enjoy everything it has to offer. Hope to see you there! :moped:

Was there in Feb. Don't know if anything changed since it was our first time. We loved Kona, liked O'hana, loved the location, the lobby waterfall, the view of MK at night, watching Wishes from the beach. Can't beat that monorail service.

You're going to have a great time. There are little things that annoyed me but that will happen everywhere. CM's were great and courteous and mousekeeping kept everything clean and fresh.

Have a great trip! We'll be at AKL late May and can't wait.

I'll be there in 20 days from today. Can't wait! So enough from us people who are going to be there! What about those who have recently. I would love to hear some recent info from folks just there? C'mon....I am dying for some "Scoopage"!

We were there at the end of February as well. I did a brief report then but all is well at the Polynesian. Any specific questions?

We're going back in May and I can't wait! :cool1:

We are going to the Poly too, but in 16 days. OMG, I really can't believe that. I'm panicking now. I have so much to do...oh yes, back to the topic at hand. I was wondering if there was anything that was not up to par NOT so I can be negative but so I can prepare and not expect too much in those areas.

Hey fellow Poly people!!! :sunny: We arrive on the 29th and leave May 8th. I'd love to meet some DISers, so if you see me be sure to say HELLO! :wave2:

I just can't wait to breathe in the smell of those tropical flowers... hear the hawaiian music... sit on the beach... watch the EWP.... eat at Kona and Ohana.... jump on the boat or monorail to MK.... it's going to be soooo wonderful!!! :cloud9:

Hi Erika! We'll be leaving the Poly the morning of the 30th, but if I see you on Friday, I'll be sure to say hello. My DDs are 8, 5 and 2; how old are your boys?

My oldest is 5, he'll be 6 in August. Then my youngest is 3, and he'll be 4 in June. :) They don't know we're going to WDW yet. We're going to wait and tell them when we drive to the airport. :goodvibes

You are an awesome parent - will you adopt me? :)

I share in your excitement. Just thinking about it is relaxing me, but making me excited at the same time. What a weird feeling! I've got a PS for dinner at Ohana on Saturday, April 30th. I can't wait to try it! With the transportation, and all the other amenities the resort has to offer this should be a very Magical vacation!

I have some info, even though we didn't stay there this past trip (mid-March). We were at the Wilderness Lodge but spent an afternoon at the Poly renting boats and having lunch. Also did Kona for 1 breakfast and dinner our last night. I love this resort... If they put DVC rooms in I would die of happiness.

The big thing I noticed is the changes to the retail shops. The whole left side of the downstairs lobby is boarded up while they renovate. While this area is closed the shops toward the back are juggled around a bit. The Wyland Gallery is way in the back toward the left. There are very nice and spacious new bathrooms near the entrance to Captain Cook's. A nice CM I chatted with said Captain Cook's is going to have additional seating since the "fast food" is so popular and when it isn't nice outside the seating indoors is not enough. She also believed the Wyland Gallery would relocate to one of the renovated spaces and the upstairs shopping would stay the same. By the time you arive this work may be completed.

The only other thing we noticed was some minor work going on near the quiet pool. It looked like underground pipe work and a small area was boarded up. Some of the palm trees in the front as you approach the main entrance were "naked" on top -- we assumed they had hurricane damage and had been trimmed. Everything in general looked great!

We will be there at the end of May/beginning of June. I posted a question about any new Poly rehab last week and all I got was cob webs... I am glad to hear the Poly is doing something with Captain Jacks - It is the Poly's one weak link.

Howdy Neighbor in Lafayette!!! We live in West Lafayette! :wave2:

My not so recent review (see seperate thread) may be of interest...
