Anyone just back from DLP who bought HB Vouchers?

Just wondered if anyone has just been to DLP and used HB vouchers and whether they are definitely a good buy at the moment with the exchange rate at the moment?

It's our first time at DLP with kids and don't want to end up blowing all our money on food and less on souvenirs etc.

It depends on whether you prefer to have a sit-down table service meal at least once a day. If you do (and I do) then half board are really good value for money, and can save you quite a bit (I saved at least 25% just on 4 meals using HB plus last month).

If you just want to fuel up while you are at DLRP though, you could just use fast food, counter-service and snacks on your trip. Then there would be no point having half board vouchers, as they would cost you more than counter service meals cost.

I would assume that if you have the benefit of shareholders or annual passport (Dream) discounts then the HB vouchers aren't worthwhile, as the discounts are nearly the same?.

I'm a Dream Pass holder, and the discounts for me were much better getting HB plus (Dream passes only give you 10% discount, and I used our HB vouchers at buffet restaurants where the voucher covered the full buffet price plus a soft drink). Plus the vouchers can be combined with your AP/shareholders discount if you're using the vouchers at face value to pay towards your bill.

We went in October using HBplus.
Even as a shareholder I would say the vouchers are good value.

We mainly went to table service restauants and used the vouchers at face value. You still get the share holder discount taken off the total sum, and then use your vouchers to pay at face value and top off with any other form of payment if needed.
