We just got back from a cruise on another cruise company, but we did the same Blue Lagoon dolphin encounter that's offered on DCL's excursions in Nassau. I'm a hyper budgeter so I was searching everywhere for their photo prices so I could plan ahead and had a hard time finding anything current.
Overall, I found the prices reasonable, considering the price of everything on cruises. Everyone started with a single, family "kiss" photo that they rush developed to offer printed out. The basic packages where:
$39: 5 by 7 family photo plus three images on CD
$59: 5 by 7 and 8 by 10 plus four images on CD
$79: 5 by 7 and 8 by 10 plus five images on CD
You could also pre-order a package with the two printed pictures plus all your family photos on CD for $119. It promised a minimum of 15 images but since we only had about a dozen of our family overall they may pad that a bit with random dolphin images and stuff.
The video of your encounter cost $59 for the 15 minutes or so you where in the water but that's your whole group of ten, so a lot of it would be other people. You can package the video with stills starting at about $120.
I think a single 8 by 10 of the kiss photo was $16 and other singles were $19 each.
They also had key chains, calendars and other products but I didn't get any of those and forgot to note the prices.
You were also allowed to take pictures from the observer area. It was pretty close, but since you stand on a platform with your back to the dock, the observer would be quite limited in the quality of the shots.
Overall we had a great experience at Blue Lagoon and got some great family photos.
Hope this helps some of my fellow planners!
