Thinking of going next week for a couple of days and was wondering what the crowd levels/wait times are like?? We've always avoided Easter but thought the levels might be down.

Thanks,
Tracy

It's crowded. It's Spring Break for many California schools. The park s pen 8a - midnight every day this week. That right there should tell you everything. :goodvibes

We live here and go often, so I'm familiar with usual crowd levels. But the hotels aren't sold out and annual passes are blocked out. Plus I've heard crowds are down because of the economy so I was just wanting to hear from someone who was there.

Hoping someone is vacationing this week and can't resist visiting the DIS boards and will find my plea!

We will be arriving on Friday and staying through next week so that might be a bit late for you if I let you know then.

Sorry, I guess missed your plea. I just thought you were asking about crowds. We are possibly going tonight. What was your plea for?

Dreams - If you could come back here and post about the crowd levels/wait times after you get back, that would help me make my decision whether or not to go next week. I don't mind busy, but packed in like sardines is what I'm trying to avoid. Thanks!

We just returned from DL yesterday and crowds weren't too bad. Things could change a lot in the next few days though.

got to the parks at opening this morning. walked right on most rides and collected our FP for tonight.

by 9:50 tomorrowland was totally packed. the buzz line was interferring with walkway traffic. star tours line was even long.

left DL and went to DCA. fp for soarin already had a return time of 11:45. grizzly was 35 min wait, when we got off it was more like 50 min, they had an extended queue going.

the walk ways of DCA were quite busy. now granted, i go during off season mostly, not spring break, but the park was really busy.

so, we are at the hotel for swimming and naps. we will return to use our fp stash in a few hours.

Well, that's what I was trying to tell you above.

And yes, we went last night and I re-iterated what I said above. It's crowded. There are lots of families. It's Spring Break.

Wait times mid-day through evening were around 45-60 on the Star Tours, Space, Splash, Nemo category rides. Didn't step foot in DCA.

Main Street was packed during fireworks. DCA closed about a half hhhour before fireworks and we watching Main Street fill up behind us as people came flowing in from the entrance. Likewise, trying to cross Main Street after the show was literally just not possible due to the river of people flowing down Main Street exiting the park.

It was not too crowded to have fun, but yeah, it's Spring Break time and it sure looks like people are enjoying the promotions.

I believe half of CA schools are on break this week and half next week so I would imagine next week will be very similar.

Dreams - Thanks for the update, but seriously, you don't need to re-iterate. I'm quite smart, actually. As I said before, I'm local, I understand crowd levels and that Spring Break is busy. I was simply trying to see exactly HOW busy. Geez. Talk about re-iterating.

Anyone else want to jump in with a mini trip report? I'm still on the fence.

I went in there yesterday. Didn't look at a lot of the lines or rides but those that I did see for wait times at around 9pm and later were, Indiana Jones 55min, Jungle Cruise 15min, Haunted less than 10, Splash Mnt less than 10. Buzz lightyear at 5pm showed 25min but it was more like 40min with the people using FP. Sailing Ship Columbia was also running and there was no wait line other than just waiting for it to come back around.

At California Adventure wait time for Toy Story was around 45 min. No wait for muppets or tough to be a bug. When we went by Mike and sully to rescue it was shut down.

I wish Disney would through the FP idea out cause in my opinion it slows the line down. It really does as when we were in line for Buzz we were standing in the same spot for 10min which to me isn't right at all since for the most part the ride doesn't stop unless there are slow WC transfers or a WC going on to the WC car.

Thanks wmah! That doesn't sound so bad. Not compared to what I've heard about years past, which is what I was hoping for!

I'm getting close to deciding - maybe next Tuesday or Wednesday...
