I haven't gotten a postcard with a pin in more than 5 years but my DILs (also in Illinois and have only traveled to WDW with us) got one a few months ago.
Nothing for us in the western burbs of Chi...I just called the other day and nope! We have been at Disney almost every year the last 5 years so I think that has something to do with it. My mom recieved the code last year and she hadn't been in awhile. Do you think they keep sending out codes or once they are done blanketing they stop?
Just called in, and we now have a code attached to our name (we didn't a week ago) so keep trying! Unfortunately, it isn't good for the dates that we are committed to going. However, it was for 30% off room only on the moderates, and I don't know what the discount was on the others.
Good luck!

Hi everyone! I'm making my first trip to WDW in June and a friend referred me to DIS. I have to say I'm extremely grateful for the wonderful tips, but am finding myself a little obsessed with the board .
Just wondering for those in IL who just received a 40% code, are the dates the same as those listed on a post above?
Thanks!
I live in wisconsin & just received my 40% off code today. I received my dvd 2 days ago with a 20% off also. If you can sign up for e-mails, dvd, maps etc. do it-----you will have a better chance of getting the code.
I live in Palos Hills and I received a 40% off resorts email on January 9th. We have not been since 03. Not sure how I got it but I am grateful. We weren't planning on going til 2009 but with this offer I couldn't refuse.
Got a 20% code yesterday (nothing a week ago) when I called. Booked Poly for 6 nights, but we'll probably cut it down to 4-5 nights (and stay the rest of the nights at the Swan at the cheap gov't rate) since Poly is still expensive!!
We got one yesterday...30% and we are western 'burbs of Chicago. I wonder what the rhyme or reason is of 20, 30 40%....we checked out the bottom line for the first week of April and Pop and ASSP were available in the values, CBR for mods and only the villas of Sarato Springs and OKW were available for our code. The CM did not ask for the yellow code number...I had said it was for 30%, but he did not really verify it. perhaps it just came up when he took our adress/phone info. Anyway, for POP the rate came to 69.30 before tax and 77.96 incl tax...then on Friday ans Saturday the rate switched to 76.30 before tax and forgot to ask w/tax. O.K. rates since that is technically our spring break, but I think had we gotten the 40% it would've been more attractive. I think we would only actually stay maybe 5 nights and drive...we are actually visiting 2 colleges during that week and WDW just happens to be in the middle of them, so sort of hard to pass up, but really should NOT be adding cost to the trip. At least some of us Illinoisians are getting the code sent to us!
30% off everything but dining (or maybe dining would have been included if we had gone with regular dining? We chose deluxe) because we ordered the vacation planning DVD a few weeks ago.
