I was searching through all the threads and could not fine one about The Office!

I've been having severe withdrawals this summer (that's kind of an exaggeration) and the webisodes are just not enough so I've been watching my DVDs and last night I decided to pop in season 2 and watch The Fire. I'd forgotten how much I absolutely love that episode. :rotfl:

So...does anyone want to discuss this amazing show with me?

I LOVE 'The Office'... It's so real in terms of the lack or morale... But I sure wish I had a boss like Michael...

I love the office too. While I do not work in an office (teacher) I still see some parallels between the stupidity of the management.

There is an Office thread out there somewhere. Several of us post on it after new episodes.

Funniest show on TV if you ask me.

Ah, guess I just didn't go back far enough. I completely agree with you. But I think it's one of those shows that you either love or hate and there's really no in between. I have some friends that cannot STAND it. They hate it. I just don't understand.

I think it grows on you like an Adam Sandler movie. I used to HATE it and then I forced myself to watch it. One of my favorite episodes was when Michael burned his foot on his Forman Grill. Remeber when he was in the bathroom and asked that Ryan come in to help.

I think that the conflict will occur when Pam goes to NY and she will run into Ryan and there will be a misunderstanding between her and Jim. I also think that Michael will go with the new HR person and then he will find out that Jan is having his baby.

One of my favorites was on last night. Where Michael et al go to Benihana and he starts "dating" the waitress and brings her and her friend back to the office Christmas party and can't tell them apart, so he marks her with a Sharpie when she isn't looking. :lmao: :lmao:

I was thinking the same thing! And it will break my heart if something happens with their relationship! :guilty:

:rotfl:I LOVE that episode. And he gives her the bike. LOL. I'm cracking up thinking about it!

If you ever get a chance to see the original british version, it is so funny that you will die of embarrassment.

The British version is filmed documentary style and you are rapidly drawn in to believing it is absolutely real. The lead charachter is an office manager who seems to embody all the worse parts of every ****** manager that I have ever worked for. You kind of get to hate him, love him and feel sorry for him all at the same time.

Written by and starring Ricky Gervais it is the english sense of humour at its understated best. On some episodes I cringe so much that I have to watch it through my fingers.

For me, that was one of tv's greatest moments ever. It was perfect - I never saw it coming. When he swiped her with that Sharpie, I literally fell off the couch laughing!!!!

I also got into it by watching the UK's version. Geez, you just watch those episodes with your hands over your eyes, it's so horribly embarassing! It's like watching a trainwreck!

Thanks for that link!

The sharpie incident was by far one of the greatest Office moments ever. DH and I also LOVED the original British version. Gervais is a genius.

We adore Dwight. Watching him play the recorder at the bird funeral...trying to catch the bat....macing Roy....showing the various places around the office where he's got weapons hidden.

We love The Office too! My DH and I started watching it this summer so we aren't caught up yet. We can't find the last season for rent anywhere. I don't know what we're going to do about catching up before the new season.

One of my favorite moments was when Jim trained Dwight to eat a mint when he turned on Windows.

The Office is the best. How can you not love these guys. Esp Michael with his not so good judgements

I'm pretty sure you can watch them online. go to nbc.com and find The Office from there.

I love the episode where Dwight is talking about all of the pranks Jim played on him (Jim recounts them too):

Nickels in the phone mouthpiece

moving the desk one inch at a time

changing the auto complete on his computer from Dwight to Diaper :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh I just love this show!!
