Anyone here sleep late like me?

I assume you mean at WDW? Yes, I'm not really a rope drop kind of person. If there's a special reason to get there at rope drop, I can make myself do it, but I run out of steam about 11am and have to go back to the resort. I do much better sleeping in and hitting the parks about 11am, having lunch, and then touring. I do tend to go when the weather is cooler though - it might not be the best plan in the summer heat.

I was just saying in general, my sleeping sched has been off lately. And yes I would rather be at the parks later then the "rope drop", makes me relax more and enjoy my vacation. :cool1:

Yep! :thumbsup2
Of course we live on a farm and normal get up time can be 5:30 am, so "sleeping in" could be 6:30 or 7:30 or 8 am...:rotfl:

While on vacation we want to sleep until we wake up on our own, not be rudely awakened by an alarm :scared1: or even a Disney wake up call...:upsidedow

My wife could easily sleep in until 11:00, maybe later . . . . I am a get out of bed kind of person for the most part. We generally have one "off" day when we go to DTD, and I will usually sleep in that morning, and let DW get up with the kids, and do the laundry.

The rest of the trip, I'm out of bed at 6:00 in the morning, we are at rope drop, and we stay in the park until closing. Depending on the length of the lines for the buses, we may well hang out for an hour or longer after closing just to wait for the lines to clear some, so we have a short wait in line for the bus, and a good chance of getting a seat.

Yep. Lately I've been staying up late and sleeping in until 7. Can't say I like it, though. I feel much better when I go to bed and get up earlier.

At home I usually do, I don't know why I'm awake right now. But at Disney I'm always up bright and early.

I am too excited from the moment I enter the main gate to sleep past like 7 am! Im like that kid on the old commercial "Im too excited to sleep!"

My DH the same way the day we leave but is more relaxed once we get there, he will get up with me and do rope drop. I did promise to try and make our anniversary trip in Sept a bit more relaxing..LOL key word "TRY"

no rope drops here. DD is a sleeper!!! We're lucky to get to the parks by 11 or 12. This year though, my DBr is coming instead & I expect to be up & out much earlier. Still don't anticipate seeing rope drop though.

Sorry no... we get up early to start each magical fun filled day. We don't like to miss out on the cooler temps/smaller crowds earlier in the day. Then when it gets hotter/more crowded, we head back to the resort for some r&r.

I'm an early riser, but we never set an alarm at Disney. I get up and make coffee and then go on the balcony/patio and enjoy it with my book waiting for others to arise. When we're all up, we head out. It's nice to do it leisurely. Sometimes I go for a walk or head to a park on my own and then go back to the resort to see if anyone else is up yet. It gives me some nice alone time.:goodvibes

We're late risers. But, we usually go in September when it's not excruciatingly crowded. Haven't seen a rope drop yet, but that's OK with us. It's funny, when I'm at WDW though.. I'm up sometimes around 8:30, which is pretty early for me!

At Disney we get up @ 8 am and try to be in parks by 9:30.

We are the in between family. It's just mom (53) and me (34). We are on vacation so we tend to sleep in later than if we had to go to work. Sleeping in to us, is waking up between 8:30-9:30. We don't set alarms or get wake up calls. We just take our time getting up, showering, dressed etc. We hit the parks around 11. This will be year number 4, we have yet to do RD. We keep saying this is the year....:lmao:
Guess we will find out in Sept!
Hope everyone has a wonderful and fantastic trip! :thumbsup2

I can sleep at home. I get up early every day, and do rope drop every day. If I am tired, I leave the park before closing. I don't mind if I am exhausted at the end of my vacation. I would go crazy sitting in my room watching people sleep. Even now that my kids are old enough to leave behind, I threaten to do that, and they jump out of bed. They know I know better! The only day I won't do rope drop on our next trip is the day after MVMCP. But that is a non-park day for us. Sleeping while on vacation is such a waste of time!

Yes- we usually sleep in, go to a park ride a few rides, eat lunch, ride a few more, leave and go back to the hotel to swim, take a shower/short nap, then go to a different park until closing.
