Anyone here have the FL resident Dining Discount card?

I am so sad, from out of state so no discount card for me. I travel a lot further and deserve something for my trouble. LOL

We used this card extensively last year. We only had one problem during the year we used it. (Narcoosee's denied it. Intern didn't know what it was - we complained - manager called us a few weeks later and said he would make right on next trip - tried numerous times to get back ahold of him when next trip(s) came up and he never returned our calls again - not worth the hassle to continue to contact him).

Discounting our one bad experience, the card quickly paid for itself. We ate very well during our numerous trips to Disney. It's well worth it. Enjoy.

Awww, slightlygoofy...I am sorry! :(

Cinderelli-That is very interesting about Narcoosee's. I appreciate you sharing your experience...that is why I posted this thread...I wanted to hear the good, the bad and the ugly! LOL!

Does anyone know if the 20% discount applies to special dinner packages? For instance, we made reservations for NYE at Le Cellier and there's a special menu that night that's $50/person. Do you think we could apply it to that as well?

Regardless, thanks to everyone's advice and experiences, we will be buying a card soon as well!

I don't believe they will discount special events...
we have never had a problem using - they even honored it Mother's Day....

we did get two cards...one in my name and one in DH's name....it paid for itself in two meals!!

Yes, we have it..yes it counts towards alcohol in some places.

It is a wonderful card..we love it. Made up the cost and then some our first weekend up. You must show your FL drivers license each time you pay your dinner bill in order to recieve the discount, along with the DDE card of course.

FYI: The new DDE newsletter states that the card is now good for up to 10 people in your party.

Edited to add: Artist's Palette and Turf Club at Saratoga Springs are accepting the card as well.

I don't believe it can be used for special events. I found the holiday exclusions listed on Disney's website.

"Disney's Dining Experience discount is not valid on major dining holidays. These holidays include: Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day."

Although it sounds like it was taken on Mother's day for someone else. I bet it depends if the restaurant is aware of the rules.
