Anyone here ever had tonsils or adenoids removal as an adult?

On Monday I got a call from my surgeon that a surgery scheduled for today was cancelled due to the patient having another illness. He gave me the option of having surgery today. I took the option. I went in this morning and was in surgery by 8 am. I got home about an hour ago. I'm in a bit of pain but otherwise I'm ok.
