I'm seeing posts on other message boards of their Birchbox items, but I'm Birchbox-less! :worried:

Does anyone else do it, and have you got yours?

I just signed up a few days ago. The estimated delivery of my first box is 5/21.

I saw on twitter some pictures of the May box, and I remember there was a nail polish and a Nars item (as well as some other items).

I am really looking forward to this! :goodvibes

I first heard about birchbox on Clark Howard (go figure!) :confused3

I got my 1st Birchbox yesterday! :goodvibes:cool1::woohoo:

This is what I got:
Algenist - Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer (0.5 oz) - Full size reg price $90
Color Club - Nail Polish in Clambake Coral (0.25 oz) - Full size reg price $8
Kerastase - Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide (0.1 oz) - Fill size reg price $42
Miracle Skin Transformer Bode SPF 20 in Glow (0.5 oz) - Full size reg price $34
"Extras"
Kerastase Cistalliste Bain Cristal (0.34 oz) - Full szie reg price $36
Kerastase Cistalliste Lait Cristal (0.34 oz) - Full szie reg price $39
Notecard (1 cute blank notecard and envelope) - Reg price - Set of 12, $10

I calculated the value of the samples, and I got about $38! :yay:

Just the Algenist is a good deal. I received 1/4 of the full size as a sample (value of $22).

Before this box was processed, I have not entered my personal details on my account (i.e. skin/hair type, coloring, etc..). I will be curious to see next month's box.

So far I am VERY happy!

LOL! Feistygirl, I was just about to ask the same question, but knowing you, you've googled it, signed up and can probably answer your own question by now. :rotfl2:

I've been doing Birchbox for months now and although it started out pretty good, as the months have gone on it seems to get less and less appealing. But I've found that happens with a lot of the monthly subscriptions. Not sure I'm going to stay with it much longer but I keep holding out hoping it will get better again.

And just so you know it, every Birchbox is not the same. I get one and my sister gets one and they are different every month.

Is this a paid subscription thing?

I just googled it and it is...$10 a month for a box of premium beauty and cosmetic samples, based on the selections you make when you create your Profile. I guess thats why each person's box assortment is different.

Sounds like a great idea since there are often things you want to try but don't want to pay $40 just to find you don't like it. Wish you could actually pick your box items though and try samples of products you've been considering purchasing!

I tried to sign up but it said they'd send me an email when my turn came up. It's been a week and no email yet

I was signed up for probably 6 months and wasn't impressed at all. Don't get me wrong, if you're up for trying "new and cool" items, it may be a good idea for you...but personally for me, it was a waste of $. There are several types of these "beauty tester" products out there that get much better reviews.

I think what made me the most mad was that there was never a "sure fire" product that was raved about. KWIM?:confused3 I signed up because after watching people post about getting nail polish, popular brand make up, etc...I never ONCE got anything that even remotely resembled these items.

I know it's all based on your profile. And when I put trying new make up etc was my main interest I still never received make up...not once. Everything was skin care related...and annoying perfume samples I could pick up at any dept store counter.

I was so excited when I first signed up because I saw all the cool stuff people were getting (on their blogs) but it was just a huge let down for me. Come to find out though...these people work with Birchbox for promotions so I don't know if they get "better boxes" than others? Items these people were showing I would get like 2/3 months later so it made me wonder....
