Anyone Here Care For Oberweis Dairy

I was just wondering if anyone here buy or has OBERWEIS DAIRY products delivered to their home. All milk products are sold in 1/2 gallon glass bottles. I'm not a milk drinker but once I tried their milk while visiting my sister up north I was shocked. It is really delicious.
The chocolate milk taste like ice cream and the butter is so fresh. I wish they had the OBERWEIS ICE SHOP here as they do in Illinois. I really want a moo coloda and pineapple malt.
Dairy Queen and Baskin Robbins has nothing on them

Yep, we have a lot around here in Chicago suburbs. EXCELLENT milk and ice cream, though have neither now, on low carb. Their no-fat milk tastes like 1 or 2%. And glass DOES makes a taste difference, IMO. For the past months, I have been drinking Hood's Carb Sense milk, both white and chocolate, and it tastes wonderful too. Very rich and creamy.

Really? We have a shop that opened up recently here. I will have to check it out!

I grew up getting the milk delievered in those glass bottles. Oh sooooo cold and delicious.

Dan my neighbors can't believe I have my milk,butter and oj delivered every friday but it is sooo worth it. I was soo very happy that I'm part of there delivery route.

If and I seriously hope they do open one here, I would be their every day drinking a moo colada or pineapple malt.
ONe thing I'm not happy about is that they took Chocolate Almond ice cream off the delivery route for now. First the Sugar and Spice cake and Now Chocolate Almond is no longer available for delivery oh the HORROR

Mystery at first I didn't think there was a difference between glass and plastic as far as taste, but when I did taste the milk I was shocked. Now I'm a believer of Milk in a glass bottle taste sooo much better

Their chocolate milk is so yummy I can drink the whole half gallon myself. Therefore I only buy it occasionally and try to ration myself.

I love love love their chocolate malts. In fact all of their products are outstanding.

We have a shop nearby, but I never knew what exactly they had there. Is it an ice cream place? Our grocery store sells their milk too, but I've never bought it. My dad bought the chocolate milk once, but I didn't care for it. Maybe I'll have to check out the shop sometime.

Oberweis is great.
We are big Eggnog drinkers around the holiday and I thought I would splurge by spending extra to have Oberweis Eggnog. We were actually quite disappointed in that it wasn't very flavorful nor rich. We'll stick with their milk and ice cream though!

Yes Beth, they sell ice cream in many flavors, malts, shakes, sundaes, prepacked, different types of milk,OJ, Fruit Juice, Muffins, begals, Ice Cream cakes and Pies.
Last week I ordered the Straberry Torte and it was soooo good.

Jasmine I was shocked also! Just so happen while visiting my sister, we went to the Oberweis in Lansing Ill on Torrence Ave. The fellow who took my order was from Indy who in turn gave me the 800 number to see if I could set up delivery. He stated they will eventually franchise in Indiana. It took about a week for Customer Service to see if delivery was in my area of Indy and sure enough it was.

I have been a customer for about a good two months and I must say I really enjoy it. Btw, my son absolutely LOVE the chocolate milk also. If I or dh didn't monitor him when he open the fridge he would drink the whole bottle in one sitting which happend the very first deliver.
I'm counting down the days until I have my Moo Coloda and Pineapple Malt with the stick cookie YUMMY

Oberweiss is one of the things I miss about Chicago. We used to get delivery when we lived there. They truly have the best ice cream. I used to always get a delivery with the vanilla or the strawberry or the cheesecake ice cream.

We have an Oberweis shop in our town. I've been buying milk from them for a few years. The cows don't have any kind of hormones, which I appreciate. It's more expensive, but in my mind worth it. The ice cream is great too.

Oberweis sells nothing but 1/2 gallons. The milk is more expensive, but well worth it especially for your children since there are no hormones given to the dairy cows.
