Anyone heard of new add on incentives?

I just got a call and was asked if we would be interested in doing an add on, we could get last yrs points and something else. If were interested , our guild could send us an email with the details. We said thank you but no, we thought we had enough points. Ok, have a magical day.

After hanging up, we were now thinking a few questions, how many is an add on, which resort, what are all the details? It seemed important that we have a Dec. use year. And why don't they just send out a massing mailing like everything else.

Has anyone else gotten this call?

Didn't get a call but did just get a mailing yesterday. It was for the new promo where you get "free" points when you buy X number of points at Aulani or Poly. You have to buy a minimum of 150 points to get 10 free.

We got that one yesterday too. That's like going to Kohl's and spending $50 in order to get the $10 in Kohl's Cash for the next week. Only on a much bigger scale.

ok thanks. She made it sound like since we had a Dec use year, it was something special. We would at most be interested in a 50 point add at BCV. We regret not buying there. With 50 points, we could bank and plan for 4 or 5 days every other year.

Sort of. If you add on more points with a Dec UY, you'd still get 2015 points on a direct purchase, because we are still in the Dec15 UY. Presumably, they'd give you a one-time exception to bank those points forward into 2016.

We received this yesterday as well. Did not seem very cost effective so it went into my circular file!

It's not actually an exception anymore - it's been several years since they added it to one of the documents that you will be allowed to bank after the deadline if you are buying direct.

The mailer I received had buy 125 to get the bonus ten. Not a huge difference, but a smidge better.

I believe the option starts at 125 points to get the "free" 10 points. In essence, you have to spend approximately $21-$22K at either Aulani or Poly in order to get $1.7K in points, though you will still have to pay the maintenance fees going forward. If you're hankering to buy either Poly or Aulani, then this offer makes sense. Otherwise, it's useless.
