Anyone having problems with.........

We signed up with a broaband offer in August (begining), we got a connection date of Aug.

Well sept came and we had no improvement in connection speed, so after many visits into the shop and telephone calls to (call centre in New Deli)

We were told Oct, yep Oct came and went and we are still waiting for the 8mbs, we are still only getting 1.1mb, and after intially been told we can get the full 8mbs. We started to ring again.

Wednesday night 50 mins waiting for someone to answer the telephone (customer services).
Thursday we tried again, no reply so we rang the sales number yes answer straight away. Just to be told we are not entitled to the broadband at all!!!!!!

So we went back into the shop, who did not help, we had to fill in an escalation form for a manager to ring us within 48hours.

DH just got off the phone, and we were told this area will not get more than 2mbs this year, eventually will get to 8mb next August.

So rather annoyed that we were mislead, and changed telephone providers, we are not sure what to do at the minute, DH is going to ring the consumer association.

Sorry for the rant, just wondered if anyone else is having the same problem.
 
Oh no, what a nuisance, I hope you get it sorted and that you don't have to wait until next August

We are with talktalk, and changing to the higher speed with them, i know we are not changing providers, but were told we could get the faster speed thats why we stayed with them, as we were going to move providers.
 
We signed up for BT Broadband in July and were given an activatin date towards the end of the month. We actually GOT our connection last Monday after they tried every single trick in the book not to actually give us the service. We have spent so much money on calls to Indian call centres these last few months. What wound us up even more though was that we found they'd been charging us for the service since July!
 
im having major problems with NTL :sad2: im waiting for them to install me a new modem ......mine keeps dying :)
 
We have 2Mb connection with Orange. We signed up for an "up to 8Mb" service and was told it would be upgraded when our exchange was upgraded. Well the exchange has now upgraded but because we don't get our broadband via BT no one can tell us when we'll get the faster service. I think their get out is in the "up to" part of the contract. We're lothe to change our service as we've got unlimited downloads and we're quite heavy users.

How wierd - just a few days later and we've got a message from Orange to say our service was upgraded to 8Mb this afternoon!! It's taken since April to finally get what we wanted.
