Anyone having a problem booking Narcoossees in January?

Just got off the phone with Disney Dining. I was able to get everything I wanted except for Narcoossees... we want to go on Jan 6th for dinner, but the booking system is only offering the Sweetheart Table for two... you can't just book a regular reservation... really weird. So I'm just wondering if any of you have had a problem trying to book it.

No, but I had a problem trying to book Kouzzina. I was told that they switched things to a new system and have not finished "loading" everything. I was told to keep calling back to check if the reservation can be booked yet. Maybe the same problem?

The CM also said that in the mornings sometimes the systems have not fully loaded... I will call back later and see. Were you trying to book Kouzzina today?

I tried to book Flying Fish for any day the entire first week of January. Nothing was available and the CM could offer no explanation.

The same thing happened to me with Flying Fish. I'm trying for the 4th but I tried every other night just to see and there is no availability. I've been calling everday just in case the system gets fixed. 2 days ago I called and the CM said yes we have an opening at 6:00. I was like yes then she said it was just for the sweet heart package. Then I tried to explain to the CM what was going on with the booking system and well... she just chalked it up to being booked. Long story short no FF reservation and still waiting....

That is so weird. I'm going to call in a little bit and see whats up.... maybe I should just book it now with the package...then call at a later time and take the package off.... the whole issue makes no sense at all to me.

Let us know if they are letting you make regular dining reservations. I've also thought about calling FF directly. Are you allowed to do that?

My 90+10 day was Sept 29th and I have been trying to book Narcoosses for Jan 2nd since then. I even tried again today (online) and there still aren't any reservations available. Its my last remaining reservation to make! All I can think is they have not yet loaded everything for 2010 yet.

I tried again and the CM told me that they didn't load everything yet... so I guess we're just going to have to call everyday lol.

It's very hard to get into Narcoosee's anytime. We ate there last Thurs and tried every day after that to make another ADR for the week we were there, no luck. We even had the concierge at the resort try and they had no luck. The food was wonderful by the way and the service was just outstanding.

We could not get in to Kona Cafe' before our trip and decided to wing it. We showed up early, about 5 pm and we had a 30 min. wait. That was walk-in, not ressie.
We were very happy we tried it! It was wonderful and Debbie was a great server!
We had a ressie for Narcoosee's for 7:30. We thought we would take a chance and check in early. We got right in and we were 1 1/2 hours early! I really think they allow for walkins and I think the earlier the better!
BTW-we were not impressed by Narcoosee's AT ALL and the service was good but our server was a huge fake! She was all smiles at the table but when she was not serving a table she was all frowns! Everytime she would walk up to the table she would pop up smiling. Weird. She was definitely our least favorite server. The desserts were great! If you want coffee expect to pay $6.29 for even 1 cup! Ridiculous! I knew it would be a lot but that is outrageous.
We would go back to Kouzzinna and Kona for 1 TS anyday over the 2 TS's at Narcoosee's.
If you get Kouzzinna, ask for Mary Ann! She was over the top w/her service! She was very knowledgeable about the menu. She was right on from drink to dessert! She rec'd an extra tip from us!

It's not a problem with availability... it's because Narcoossees has not updated their system yet... so nobody can make a ressie until they get the system updated... once they do I think it will be fine to get in. It's just going to be annoying having to call everyday to see if the system is updated lol.

Same thing is true for Crystal Palace--nothing is available on Jan 1 & 2 (but I can get CRT and Chef Mickey's so I know it's not all booked up).

It seems like some restaurants just aren't up to date on Jan yet.

We were able to get ADRs at Citricos and Cape May in Jan.

Oh you may not be able to get Crystal Palace because they are being refurbed in January. I don't know if they close on Jan 1 or the 2.. I foget... I think I read the 3rd.

I bet it is booked up, due to the fact that it closes for refurbishment on Jan. 3rd, and people are making sure they get to eat there before it does.

I called disney dining earlier and the CM said to call back later in the month and they should be all updated. There is no way I can go 2 weeks without checking. I will check on the sly...won't let my husband know. He already thinks I'm insane for coming on here and looking at food pictures.
