Anyone have trouble getting shopping credit ?

Two of my reward sites won't give me credit for shopping with them.
Why?
I can't get either to respond when I emailed about it.

One says to wait 30 days. If there is no credit to send a copy of the email confirmation. I did that. Nothing. No reponse at all.

The other site put the amount of my purchase into a hold for up to 30 days. 30 days has passed. It still shows as pending. Now they are claiming I never went throught their website before shopping. How would they know how much I spent if I didn't click thru? I never emailed them with a confirmation like I do with Quick Rewards.

Has anyone else had trouble with reward sites not paying for shopping?

I clear cookies. I'm very careful what I do before I shop. I keep a notebook with how much I spent and who I went through, etc. It doesn't seem fair.

I can say that one of the biggest problems facing rewards programs are spyware and adware programs that steal our commissions. Many harmless looking programs (including the old Mypoints shopping reminder, the Upromise shopping tool, and various other screensavers and "toolbars") can reroute your links so that even when you think that you are shopping through your rewards program, the other program gets the credit.

Each month, the merchants go back and "adjust" our accounts to give money to other programs depending upon who they determine the last link to be. If you have any of that spyware or adware on your computer unknowingly, your rewards program may have thought that they were going to get credit for your sale and then had it "corrected" back out before it was finalized.

The whole toolbar/adware thing is why Mypoints does not offer their shopping reminder anymore. Programs that use them have been getting a lot of bad press (not to matter some legal action filed against ebates).

I probably just totally defended one of my competitors. LOL!!

I have shopped through creationrewards and mypoints before. Creation rewards I am usually credited within 24 hours but mypoints takes a little longer and the points are pending for 30 days.

I have not shopped through any other reward sites yet!

In the past I had problems with MyPoints, but it seems to have gotten better this year.
