Anyone have to wait till 2016?

Both times that we've gone as a family, one of our kids was 2 1/2. It was a great age to go! Everything is magical to them, and they've already started to fall in love with certain movies/shows/characters. You will have a great time! We are going in the fall of 2016, as well--and now that it's January, I can say we're going NEXT YEAR!!

Wow, that's awesome to hear!! I'm glad you guys have had a good time with your trips. It's a little scary thinking about that age. You hear some horror stories! I think it all comes down to managing expectations (and naps!).

We're hoping for a 2016 trip. I'm a teacher, so we're toying with 2 options:
June - our 6th anniversary, and keeps with our tradition of May/June every 3 years (2010, 2013, 2016!!).
October (my fall break) - MNSSHP, Food and Wine, cheaper, less crowds, we've never been in fall

We'll decide eventually. Right now I'm thinking June....because it's closest!

Thanksgiving week was also once an option...until we realized how expensive airfare from California would be. I mean...yikes.

We have tentative plans for 2016, last time we went in August because that is the ideal time for us schedule-wise, so that's when we'd probably go again but nothing's in stone just yet. We'd like to go before DD8's birthday in October 2016 so we can have one last trip before she becomes a "Disney adult".

We have a trip booked for this May but I'm pretty sure we're going to have to move it to 2016. Heartbroken but the money just didn't work out the way we thought. :(

I'm hopping for a trip in 2016 with my best friend. We both just graduated college and will hopefully be first year teachers starting in the fall. We've both heard the first year is the hardest and thought it would be a nice way to celebrate that. We would either go in June or August probably. Except now she's saying she might not want to go then anymore and might want to wait a few more years. Well I don't think I can wait that long the last 2 years since I last went have been way to hard! I talked to much parents and we might take a 2016 trip as a family if she dosen't want to go depending on how life goes. My Disney World goal is to go every 3-5 years. But if I went with my parents in 2016 and all the sudden my friend said she wanted to go in 2017 I wouldn't object to going 2 years in a row!

I had to reply to this. I'm a third year teacher (5th grade now, but I also taught 1st for two years) - welcome to the best job in the world! :) I hope you land a great job for next year!

The first year is definitely hard, and I think celebrating with Disney is perfect! Actually, that's exactly what I did. My school was on a year round schedule my first year (2012-2013), and I had May off. We went in May (when I still had a month left of school). It was a perfect celebration of (almost) finishing my first year of teaching!

We are on the every 3 year schedule right now, too, but I would LOVE to go every 1-2 years...it's just expensive since we can never go during off season (the teacher thing...) and we're on the west coast!

Yes , and not until the end of 2016 :faint:

But i guess a long wait is better than no trip planned at all! I know that by waiting until my kids are 3 and 5, that we will all have a more enjoyable experience :goodvibes Plus im PLANNING on making it a surprise trip for the kids AND surprising the hubby with staying at the GF! Hopefully my 'secret savings' will be enough by November 2016!

I am agonizing because I went for a week back in late October 2014. I go through these weird cycles where I go to Disney, and then for a couple/few months after, I'm like "Eh... I don't have any desire to go back soon" and then, after about four months, I start to jones. I started a new job this year, and won't have much vacation until 2016. My husband will probably kill me if I suggest Disney again for 2015, so I guess I will have to wait.

We have plans for October 2016, last time we went in November 2014 for my DS 5th Brthday and was his first time visiting Walt Disney World and he had blast.

We will be going back in 2016 too. It sounds so far away, but I'm glad we are going in the first place. :D

I am dying - going in March of 2016 and getting so excited by seeing all the Flower and Garden stuff coming out. Not too long before the 365 day mark...that is when my official countdown begins!

UGH...our last trip was June 2012- and I hoped and planned for a trip in June 2014 but it never ended up working out - and then I started planning for June 2015 and b/c of our non-positive tax return this year it was a NO-GO..BUT the DH and are optimistic about June 2016!! Our boys will be 14 and 16 1/2 at that time so they should be to walk around a little (in the same park) on their own! :worship:

This year we were planning on BWI so that's probably where we'll stay next summer...but who knows at this point!!

Just bought my first Disney gift card at Traget (love saving that 5%!) for our Feb. 2016 trip! We moved to a spot of the country that makes flying to Orlando much more expensive, but I'm determined to make this work! Now that we have dates set, I can put my Disney dreaming in high gear!

I just got done listening to Spaceship Earth on Mouseworld Radio....ugh...makes me sooo sad...and excited...and sad. Almost time to officially start counting my days

While we *might* go for a quick adult trip for Food and Wine this fall, my only planned trip is October of 2016. But that means I get to spend my 41st birthday at my favorite place on earth, Hollywood Studios. Or whatever they're calling it by then... ;)

We are looking at April 2016! Going to try and make it work for April vacation week since our 2 oldest will be in grade school. We will have number 3 in tow who will be 9 months at the time. I also think my MIL is going to be joining us. Anxious to start planning!

Me! We are going late November/early December 2016. But I've already started planning, of course! Lol
