Anyone Have this Happen with Tax Refund?

We e-filed our federal taxes on Feb. 23 and requested direct deposit for our refund. Yesterday (3/9) I checked the IRS website for the status of our refund. I didn't print the page (kicking myself for that), but it said something to the effect of our refund being deposited on 3/9. I checked our bank account and it was not there yet, but I figured it might take a day or two to show up.

Tonight I checked the IRS site again and it now says our return has been received and is being processed. Has anyone had this happen? It doesn't make much sense....yesterday it was being deposited and today it is back to being processed

Yes we filed during the same time - we were told March 5 by our tax people - when that came and went I checked the Where's My Refund tool and it said March 9. March 9 came and no money so I checked again and it now says March 23.

So I think they are maybe having a bit of a back log.

From things I have read the IRS only does the direct deposits on Fridays. None of the dates you mentioned were a Friday. I would bet if it says it is being processed that it will be in your acct on 3/12, this Friday.

My direct deposit was on a THURSDAY and my friend's a Wednesday. I just wanted you to know they do direct deposit on days other than Fridays. Good luck.

My deposit was a Monday. I filed on Feb 13th and it was deposited on Monday the 22nd.

We are in the same situation! We had our taxes done on March 24th and we were told that we would have our federal refund on Friday March 5th. We still don't have it. My parents had their taxes done right after us (same person, same night, same place) and were told the same thing as dh and I. They received their refund on March 5th. All I know is that I want my money!!

Ours was supposed to be the 5th as well. As of Monday it hadn't been updated and still said the 5th. I don't know if DH has checked since then.

Of course DH waits to do it and then we are stuck in the group that keeps getting it pushed back!

Whae we filed, ours said March 5th. That day came and went. I checked again, and it said March 16th. Checked again just now, and it will be tomorrow.

Ours was deposited it at 2:11am this morning!!!!

Yes, Ours initially said it would be March 5th. Then I checked about the 3rd and it had updated to March 12th. We did get it overnight.
