I was wondering if anyone has had their room decorated before boarding?

I was looking on the DCL website and saw the Bon Voyage as well as Anniversary celebration and was wondering what exactly they do? Any pictures??

Not on the DCL but on our RCCL cruise my DH had them hang anniversary decorations before we boarded. It was a nice surprize. A little "over the top" for such a small cabin, but it was a nice surprize!!! I think it caot about $35.00.

I did. I ordered the birthday decorations for our cruise last March 29 on the Magic. It was my husband's birthday. He was very happy with them. We even packed them up and brought them home, they are hanging in our Mickey Room.

I checked into it,( keep in mind that I am somewhat cheap) I decided for the cost, to do it myself. I went to the Disney store and got some great stuff on sale for my 2 DD (7 and 13) including towels, pajamas, Disney CD and stuffed animals, got the decorations I liked at a store and packed it all in a small suitcase (nothing else was in this suitcase).
After boarding and getting our reservations for Palo we eat lunch then I told my DH to take the kids up to see and register for the activity centers. I ran down to the room and put everything out (took less then 30 minutes) and was back upstairs to help my DD get though registration. They loved it and where very surprised. Plus I had the extra suitcase to bring home goodies that we picked up while in the islands.

Hubby and I had the Bon Voyage decorations for out first cruise last september.

They hung one of those conncected letter banners in the middle of the room...there was a floppy type decoration sitting on the desk and one more decoration hanging somewhere...3 pieces in all.

We loved it! When we got to the room a couple weeks ago..hubby said..wheres our decorations..lol. I said, I didn't order them this time..lol. He wanted them, I guess

Disney decorated our cabin for my Mom's 74th BD. It was quite a surprise for her and made for a festive touch. As poster stated above, it incl. a big HBD banner over the bed, a coffee table centerpc., and a HDB cascade hanging from ceiling. This pix is similar to what you'll probably have.

I'm so glad you started this thread lillygator because I was thinking about doing it for our May 8 cruise. We will be married 35 years on June 7, but this was the closest we could go. I wanted to surprise my husband so I definitely am going to get the anniversary one now. Thanks for all the pictures now I know what to expect.

Bossladypu, for SURE i would do the romance package! Anyone who has been married that long DESERVES all the perks!

One of my friends ordered the BonVoyage decor for our room last year, and i'm bringing it back to hang this year! Made the place look like a party!

I've been thinking I would order the Bon Voyage decorations too. When should I do this? Will I receive somethign with my docs? Do I have my TA add it too my reservations? Thanks for the help!
