We bought our brick during our honeymoon, 1999. I love taking pictures with it everytime we visit. So I was wondering if anyone has ever had their brick moved or all together taken out? If so, does a Disney rep contact you as a heads up? Our is by some non-functioning ticket windows at the ttc, so hopefully it is safe--for now. :scratchin

I've often wondered what happened to all those bricks that were located where they put those automatic ticket thingies at the TTC.

I hope they didn't just rip up the bricks and throw them out. Maybe they moved them to another location, perhaps around the lagoon somewhere. People paid for those things. You would think Disney would give them the opportunity to take them.

Do they even still sell them?

Sorry, I guess I didn't really answer your question.

We had ours removed. They didn't tell us but when we went last time it wasn't there. But when we bought it they said there is a certain amount of time they keep it there (I don't remember how long) and then when it's removed they can discard it.

The contracts for them stated 10 years. I expect DD's brick to hit the dust soon. We did purchase a lucite replicate from them that we have in the living room.

I know there were a lot of installation issues and many had to be replaced as they "didn't make 10 years". I would be surprised to see them do this again. JMHO

Did it cost anything to have them removed? I'm worried that ours will not be there when we go next week.

there have been a few threads about this-people have gotten divorced and wanted it removed
maybe doing a search can help

Good question, I'll have to check if ours is still in the same location this April. Its been in the same spot at the TTC since 2000.

Some of them are looking a little worn so I would figure these might get replaced after the allotted time. Others look new because there is no foot traffic so these might wind up staying longer.
