Anyone have the Senseo pod coffee makers?

I have the Black and Decker one. I really like that I can make one cup of coffee quickly, but the coffee itself is inferior to a regular brewed pot. If I had to do it again I'd just get a 4 cup coffee maker, but then I'm a real coffee snob.

My wife had one and she said the same. We just bought the Cuisinart Automatic Grind & Brew and it rocks!! I'm not a big coffee drinker, but even I'll have a cup of the fresh ground stuff!

See I'll waste a whole pot of coffee and if I want to make only one cup I can never get it to be just right  That's why I thought this was a good idea and Amazon.com has a great deal on one.

I have the Senseo and it doesn't give you enough coffee. Using just a normal sized coffee cup, I need to run two pods to get a cup. One pod only fills a cup half way. If you want a larger coffee mug...just forget it.

How much coffee do you drink? If you only have 1 cup a day it might be ok but more than that and it is very expensive. My sister bought one for when people visit because she doesn't drink coffee. The pods are expensive, they make very little coffee as one poster said, and my DH and myself don't think the coffee is very good. When I bought a bag of pods while visiting it was $4.00 for I think 16 pods. That makes about 8 mug size cups/or 16 weak mugs. I limit the amount I usually drink when visiting cause of the cost. I'd buy one of the small size pots they have out now if you don't drink a lot and even with a good bean it would be cheaper.

You can choose from about 4 different machines depending on what you want to spend. I bought the $99 one. You can get your coffee cheap at www.coffeeforless.com - it's the cheapest site I've found so far. Ends up being about 40 cents a cup

Green Mountian, Gloria Jeans, Timothy's - there are all kinds of coffees and all kinds of flavors and brands to choose from. If you are a real coffee person and just HAVE to have a certain type, there is a little filter you can use for your own grind. Fresh cup every time, no wasting pots or burnt coffee. I have one at home and at work - coffee comes right to my door. I love it.

My son has one for his dorm. It is great for a college kid who only wants one cup in the morning.
