As anyone been on a cruise where the length of cruise Rainforest room pass actually sold out and they were unable to purchase one? I've always heard they "sell out" so get them quickly, but curious if anyone has actually seen this happen?

Already know about purchasing a day pass before the cruise.

I have never had that happen on any of our cruises. I think the best thing to do in order to get your money out of the pass is to buy it as soon as possible on the first day and start using it that evening. :)

Sure. More curious about the rumor of the "sell out" then anything else. You always hear the stories, but wondering if it actually happens or just a tale that gets passed around.

We have done it for 4 cruises. We get the same sales pitch and have never seen it sold out. IMHO it is a sales tactic. I could be wrong.

We have been told by the staff that they have a limited number of them to sell for the cruise, but I don't know what the # is or if they actually sometimes sell out [and if they do how quickly that happens].

I am not sure if they sell out. At least for the cruise we were just on, they kept the sign up with the prices of both the single and couple's pass nearly the entire cruise (you'd think if they sold out, they might remove the sign?).

I have no doubt there are a limited number of passes because they don't want it overcrowded. (Which would result in complaints and people wanting refunds.)

Whether that limit has been reached, I do not know. But just because it may not have been doesn't mean it's not there.

I would think it would be more true on the smaller ships as their Rainforest is so tiny. But for Dream and Fantasy, doubtful. I have been on 18 cruises and they have never been sold out once in my experience. The one time I have been on Magic, I had no desire to get a pass of any kind since it was so small.

So far it sounds like more a rumor. I'm sure they "can" sell out, but so far no one has gone to get a length of cruise pass only to find that they sold out. Interesting that almost every article you see about the Rainforest room mentions that they sell a limited number of passes and they sell out quickly.... So far I am not hearing that from this board.

Agreed.

I definitely agree that it's probably more for the smaller ships BUT at the same time, I think it is also due to the fact that not many people buy the passes.

My husband and I get the length of stay pass every single cruise and we practically live there (as in we don't even do the formal dining rooms for any meals) and we usually only see the same people in there and have never had to wait or look for a heated lounger. This is on the smaller and larger ships.

I’m so glad you posted this. My husband has been fighting against us getting a length of stay pass for the Rainforest room. He’s afraid he will be the only man in the place. I told him it’s coed but most of the online pictures he has seen have been women only.

I went in the Rain-forest room with my wife. I was not the only man there, though there weren't a whole lot of people at any given time, but definitely some were men. It was very relaxed and low key. Not like you have to talk to anyone you see in there if you don't want to. Just people zoning out and relaxing.

The men are probably taking the pictures. DH would rather take the pictures than be in them.

Hahah, I often had spa appointments and my husband would go alone. After finding him the 2nd time on the Dream, he was in a heated lounger next to 3 men and o women in there! The first time he was enjoying the hot tub.

After our first cruise getting the pass, he told me he couldn't believe he almost let me do it alone, because it was the best part of the cruise for him! We are on next year's Transatlantic and are once again buying the couple's length of stay!

My wife and I got the length of cruises passes in April. We were told before buying that there were only three passes left. I figured that this was a sales pitch as well. But except for one time, every visit was crowded. One day there was only one heated lounger left and the sauna, steam rooms, and hot tubs were crowded as well. They did continue to sell day passes.
