Anyone have suspicious abnormality marked on mammogram

and have it come back BENIGN after biopsy?
This is what MILs mammogram report had:

Category 4: Suspicious Abnormality - Biopsy Should be Considered
The lesions noted on mammography have a definite probability of being cancerous.

Yes, my mother had a Category 4 lesion 5 years ago(calcifications). It came back benign after the biopsy.

DW had this same thing about 10 years ago - also benign. Hope your MIL gets the same report!!!

Yep..........and it's funny - it was one year ago this week. I had the same 'diagnosis' on my mammo as your MIL. I spent a truly horrible week between the mammo and when they could actually do the biopsy - imagaining every possible bad scenario, reading really scary stuff on the internet. Thankfully, the biopsy was benign. And a six month follow-up was benign. But I learned my lesson......I will NEVER skip a scheduled mammo again! You hear that, ladies, GET A MAMMOGRAM WHEN IT IS DUE ........NO EXCUSES! THIS MEANS YOU!
