The girls left a few items somewhere in the parks this past weekend. I tried calling 714-817-2166 but just get a recording that someone from lost and found will be with me shortly. I put my phone on speaker and finally gave up after 2 hours with no answer. Really would like to see if they found the girls items. I'm now in Arizona so anyone have ideas?

Yes :yay: I lost my sunglasses inside of Snow White. The CM suggested that I wait until they closed FL for the CM on duty, but we were leaving and couldn't stick around.. I called (didn't wait more than a few minutes) and gave the CM a very detailed description of my glasses. He said that if he found them he would call me back and sure enough he did!! They came packaged in bubble wrap and arrived a few days later.

According to the website, their hours are 10:30 am - 6pm PST I would try once more. :goodvibes

Nope! DH lost his phone in DCA Lagoon. It was right next to the maintenance platform in shallow water (we could see it from the Pier). We went to L&F, and told them exactly where it was. They said they had to wait until parked closed since they couldn't access the platform while rides were going, no biggie. Came back the next day, now we have to wait until they dredge the lagoon (two days later). We left DLR the next day and we called for weeks!!! 3 1/2 years later, we still never got the phone.....I wonder if they found it when they emptied it???? Hmmm

I was able to get through when I called to see if anyone had found my DS' Mickey Ears in the park. I called upon arrival at our hotel & got through pretty quickly. I believe it was right before the lines were closed for the day (so it must have been right before 6). She said that none had been turned in in that style with his name embroidered on them but to try back tomorrow. Needless to say, he found them in our luggage that night & I didn't need to call back.

Tried calling again and same recording over and over for about a 1/2 hour before I gave up. One of the items is a character breakfast photo that I'd love to have back and won't do anyone else much good!

Could you possibly call the restaurant and see if they can reprint the picture for you? Might be a better bet in case some one doesn't turn it in.

My daughter lost her eyeglasses on the golden zepher in april 08 and we called back several times over the last year (they were lost in the lagoon) and they were never found!! She lost them the first day of our 7 day trip and we checked every day and got runaround to see if they could even be recovered so I lost faith in lost & found

You probably should have filled out a report before you left the parks. They take them at Guest Services over by DCA. Anyway, we filled out 2 reports, 1 for a hat, 1 for a small kids backpack, we did get a hat back but it wasn't DD's. lol We called and they said to keep it so we washed it and kept it. We checked with them for 2 days at different times and they didn't have her hat but kept trying to give her the one they eventually sent us so yes, L & F can work but it's really best to do it that day. Sorry you lost your stuff, I hope you're able to get thru to them soon.

Ya, I will probably do that. I think they will charge though.

We've had insanely good luck with Disneyland's L&F.

This past December my mom somehow lost her checkbook (she had been carrying it on the inside pocket of her jacket). She didn't realize it till we were on out way out, but she was able to call and make a claim. She got it back, intact, a few weeks later. Worst part of it was that it was at Christmas, so she lost her Christmas lists as well!

I lost a camera case and they sent one back to me (wasn't the correct one, lol, but it fit my camera).

A friend bought a lanyard and the pass holder (that clips onto the lanyard). Well, the two became separated, the clasp broke or something (as he said, thanks to Disney's high quality merchandise ;) ) and he lost the pass holder. It held his license and some money. Thankfully, he had taken his car key out prior to this. Well, I believe they did end up sending the license back. But the hilarious part was that when this all occurred, we were about 19. The guy had not told his parents he had even gone with us to Disney (we lived about 5 hours from it) and now they were going to get his license in the mail from them, lol!

I didn't deal with them on the phone, but I lost items twice and I got both back while still at the parks.

I lost my camera lens cap on Jungle Cruise and got it back the next day. When I left my phone on a bench in Tomorrowland and it was also handed in.

But I agree with pixiewings, it would have been better if you had filed a report before you left.

I did file a report for the lost character breakfast photos but didnt realize the girls phone was missing until we were back on the road.

I finally was able to reach someone on the phone last night. They didn't find either items yet.

I then called Guest Services who contacted the Photo Supply Co. who said on my next visit they will reprint the photos free of charge. They could not mail them. I will probably visit again next month so that'll work.

Impressive. We called from Canada for a hand held radio and a baseball cap. As it turns out they did come up a few days after we got home. We had keep the items as we were heading back down that following week.

Also lost a water bottle once before, which I thing turned out to be stolen so I never saw that one back.

Keep trying. They usually are pretty good with things like that.

Good Luck :)

That's odd that if the hold times are that long, it isn't bouncing you to the voice mail. Two hours seems like a long time... hrmn.

... and the best thing to do is always stop by Lost and Found and fill out a report before you leave. You always want to take care of things, that's with any issue, on the spot... not after you get home or write a letter or whatever. Take care of it then and there. I know it sucks, but honestly you get better results that way.

While I am sad that the phone has not been found yet, but I am so glad to hear you will get a new copy of your photo! At least you get your great memory back. Maybe the phone will still turn up yet.

My son lost his autograph book in DCA and we went and checked lost and found and it hadn't been turned in but they gave him a different one just like it but that only had one signature (he had gotten that one in his) I could see by his face that he was still sad and I asked him what was wrong and in this quiet little voice he said that his had had a pen. So I asked the CM if they had a spare pen he could have ( there were several on the counter like the kind you find in the hotel rooms) and they gave him one of the cool fat ones with Mickey ears on the top. He thought that was just wonderful and was all full of smiles. This was the first week of December. A week before our trip in February he got a package from Disney and it was his original autograph book! We had written his name and address in it in case it got lost and they sent it back. How awsome is that?!

dh lost our phone on matahorn it was in his pocket.
We did find it. One time he went an filled out the paper in the park when we got to hojos an realized it was gone. He walked all the way back over there. an also tried to get though the crowds but it was packed.
He went back later that day an found it. an he went to mattahorn it self. an asked the cms. an they had found it. Not took it to lost an found yet. an let him collect it there.

I am sorry for those of you have lost stuff an the one where you could see the item an the cms just didnt help. that sucks.
