Anyone have success booking VGF at 7 months?

Can everyone post the month they were able to book at 7 months. Ie when you are traveling? It will be really helpful for those of us hoping to book here too.

I made ours on 3/9 to arrive on 9/29. Later I waitlisted 9/28 which came thru for us this past Tuesday - 1 bedroom, standard view.

This WOULD be very helpful. I'm a little concerned because we are hoping to get a one bedroom for spring break 2015. The timing of our trip could definitely impact our success.

Not too recent, but we booked 2 nights for this recent January/February. If I recall---I had one night and wait listed a second (as an after thought).

I was well within the 7 month window. But it was still newish and we traveled at a slow time. We has a dedicated 2BR unit.

I don't remember when I actually booked, but it was after the period where only VGF owners could book and liken about 3-4 months from our trip.

We were able to book at 7 months last year and for 2015 without any problem. We booked right at 7 months. Both trips were 5 N in February in a
1BR, standard view once and lake view once.

Booked our upcoming (8/14) 10 nights in a standard one bedroom at 7 months with no problem.

Booked Jan 16 for August 16....yes starting to pack.:goodvibes

Have a great vacation!

Our 7 month window opens next week. I can't wait to see if we'll be lucky enough to get a 1 BDR. Until then, I'll have to live vicariously through those of you who are experiencing our dream. :goodvibes

We were able to book a 2BR SV for the week of March 15th at 7 months. We absolutely loved the resort and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Well worth the premium points

Not to be a wet blanket but booking VGF now at the 7 month window is a little different than doing it months ago. Disney declared 75% of rooms available right off the bat. So when only a small percentage of the resort was sold and a high percentage available it was easier. Studios have been almost impossible to get at 7 months recently with 1 and 2 bedrooms much easier. Because it is such a small resort, as it continues to sell out it will be more difficult to book at 7 months. Some believe that the demand will decrease because right now the resort is the new kid on the block. I am not in that camp. Though there will be a slight decrease do to people having tried it, I feel it will be more than offset by the greater number of owners that can book at 11 months. People that booked 7 months ago when the resort was 30% sold out at 75% declared had a greater chance. Obviously the time of the year you are looking to go is your biggest factor in handicapping your chances along with type of accommodations. Very best of luck!! The.villas are AWESOME!!

In January I was able to book a week in a lakeview studio for May 24 - 31st. But my DS prefers AKV and since it was alot less in points [like 1/2 the points], I cancelled VGF. Then, by stalking the website I have been able to get the first 3 nights in a studio there for my upcoming December trip. :thumbsup2 Again, that high point cost takes alot of the fun out of it. I keep second guessing myself.

Can't wait for the "best of both worlds" in Dec. Split Stay, Jambo, Then 2 nights VGF! YAY!!! :thumbsup2

I tried to get a studio at VGF at 7 mos out for the last weekend in October, there was zero availability. So I booked at AKV-Kidani and put in a waitlist. The waitlist came through about 3 weeks ago. So even if you don't get it right away the waitlist has been known to work.

I think that the previous posts have all hit the right notes, due to size and cost, studios will be virtually unavailable at the seven month window. But the upside to that is that 1brs should be readily available since for every studio booked it opens up a 1br rental available.

We booked late December for a July 8 check-in for 8 nights in 1br LV. The bellman was shocked that we were there for so many nights, since hardly anybody stays more than 3.

I just read this thread and wanted to report that yesterday ( 8-20-14) I booked a one-bedroom Lake View for 6 nights beginning March 1, 2015.
