We are going to DL in october. We have been there twice before, once on our honeymoon in 2001 when DCA just opened and again in 2008. My husband's birthday is Oct 2nd the day we arrive at DLR and we already have tickets for MNSSHP for that day. I would like to surprise him with a VIP tour for his birthday. We go to WDW multiple times a year and have always said next time we are going to take a tour but never do. We will have our three kids DS7, DD4 and DD3. I would do one of the regular tours but I think the kids are too little and do not want to detract from the other people in the tour if they get cranky. So a few questions....

Does the VIP tour go to both parks?
Will it only be our family or will we grouped with others doing VIP?
Do they just help you maximize ride time with inside info along the way?
Is there a possibility we could see club 33? Not necessarily eat there (although that would be awesome) just to get a glimpse of those infamous vultures and the microphone.
I was planning on doing the fantasmic dessert party but if they do VIP seating for fantasmic it would not be necessary.
I don't think DL has the utilidors like magic kingdom but if so do they take you backstage to see how they do things?

I really want to give DH a nice surprise and I think the VIP tour would be a nice one. If any of you DL vets have any other suggestions I would love to hear them. We are staying at onsite at GCH if you have any suggestions or tips as far as that goes too.

Thanks!
If anyone can give a glimpse as to what to expect that would be awesome.

The VIP tours will use both parks if you want, even DTD.

You are the only party. You will need 1 guide for every 10 people in your group.

As for Club 33, they can try for lunch, but won't take you upstairs without a reservation.

There are 2 types of VIP. The first, the guide will maximize your visit, while the second, the guide can actually expedite your wait times on most rides.

The VIP seating to Fantasmic! is a nice option. There are no desserts involved, but it is nice to be able to walk up at the last minute and have one of the best views.

The same with WoC. We walked up literally as the show was starting...

Thanks for the info and the article link, I definitely am going to book it. It's a good thing I pay the bills so he won't see the cost. Lol.
