I am having real problems with my satellite. I have had it for over a year and have frequent outages. I would venture to estimate it is out 30-40% of the time. When it works, it works great, but when the weather changes (and it may just be a few clouds or a sprinkle) then the darn thing goes off. You can imagine how frustrating this is.
We were without access again on friday all day and through the night. yest am because of rain and this am it was out again. Most of the time I don't even bother with tech support because by the time I get through and we go through all the trouble shooting crap, it comes back on of its own accord. THis am, I decided to call and again go through the frustration. Not everyone has this problem. I have friends that live a few miles from me that never have this problem. ONly if their dish is covered with heavy wet snow does their satellite go out. THey are on a different transponder than I am. I have asked for a transponder change a zillion times. If it is working, they say I don't need a change, if it is not working and can't connect, then they say they can't help me..... today I asked for the corporate address so I could send a written letter of complaint. THey couldn't give me a physical address. said it had to be via email.... So I have sent yet another email. I asked for advanced support who would be able to do a transponder change and was refused that since my satellite "is working". Asked for a supervisor and was told one wasn't available.... SIGH.
I would like to know if anyone else has these frequent outages, or used to and was able to do something to get it fixed. I am ready to pull my hair out.
