Anyone have a Tempur Pedic bed?

We bought a Temperpedic a little under 2 years ago and it may have been the best money we ever spent. We both sleep so much better now and are not in the least bit sore when we wake up.

We paid a little over $7,000 for ours, but that isn't all the mattress. I think the king size mattress was just under $4,000. Then we also spent another $3,000 to get the bottom part where we can raise our head, feet or both and we can also make the bed vibrate (yes, I did say the bed can vibrate, go ahead and giggle). The mattress was worth every penny. Would I spend the extra money on the bottom part again, not sure. It is really nice to be able to raise up the top of the bed when watching tv and the vibrating part is relaxing, but not positive if that part was worth 3 grand.

May seem like a dumb ?, but, do they just fit into a regular frame?

yes it does. You need the platform under it instead of box springs. We have a queen size that fits the standard queen size bed.

I think we paid $5000 for our temper with the platform and a pillow for DH. I don't like the pillows, they give me a headache.
DH has had back issues in the past but now he has 2 ruptured disks due to a car accident. The temper-pedic has saved his back.
The only down fall I have found is it doesn't get as soft when we have the flannel sheets on the bed. The sheets absorb to much of the body heat.

We have had ours for 4-5 years, and love it. My favorite thing is that there is no motion transfer.

:thumbsup2

We bought a mid-grade queen size temperpedic with the head tilting, feet raising, vibrating base and I LOVE it. All together, we paid right at $5,000 (with 2 "free" pillows) and signed up for 0% interest financing for 4 years.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE this bed! No more back pain, no more squeaky bed b/c this one is just so darn heavy.

I did not want to get the specialty base, but DH convinced me (aka argued until I gave in) and I love it! Sometimes those DH's know what they are talking about!!!
