Anyone have a T@B camper?

My husband was thinking about buying one of those T@B pull-behind campers, you know, the ones that look like you'd be living in a sardine can. I wasn't so hip on the idea until he mentioned that we could use it to camp at Disney...then I was totally OK on the idea! If anyone has one or been in one...is it as horrendously small as it seems on the internet?
Thanks!

I don't own one, but I sure think they are cool looking! One would be great for tailgating, too, if you did such things. I can see a T@B being useful at day events, the beach, etc. Unlike a pop-up, which would be a bit too much for a small event.

I can't decide if it would bring two people closer together or break them up? ;)

We looked at these the other day, they are really cute, but, the ones we looked at were so expensive, you could but a full size pop up for that kind of money, plus some . Unless your getting a really good deal I would go for a pop up.

I think that'd be fun, but then again I'm a teardrop lover (think T@B only smaller)!

Thanks for all your opinions. We have two small kids, a pug, and a Great Pyrenees. I'm thinking a pop-up would better fit our needs! My husband has NEVER been camping, and I can't think of a better way to introduce him than at Disney. Are the sites at Fort Wilderness better than most?

Oh, yeah, the sites at FW are superb! It is a top-rated campground, consistently.

You would probably find a pop-up roomier, but at FW your dogs can't be left alone in a soft-side camper.

I love teardrops too!!! I can't decide if I want to build my own or just break down and buy one of these!!!

The T@B is actually bigger than I want.

If I had the skill and the know-how then I'd totally be building my own, but seeing as using a power drill is about the extent of my technical prowess, I'll stick to buying one. I have a nice little savings set aside for when were ready to take a step up (?) from tenting.
I just think the tears are neat cause you park, unhitch and you're done. The one we're thinking of is a little bigger with "bunks" for the kids that turn into a "sofa" when not in use.

If you are not sure what you would like the best thing to do is to go to a RV show you get to see most of what there is to camp in and compare it all up close. I have been camping for over 30 years and I still like to go to the shows to see all the new changes.

This is one of my favorite things to do! :bounce:

I have seen them at the RV shows. I thought they looked small, like big enought to sleep 2 people and that is it. :crowded:

The T@B's that I saw, did not have the bunk that turned into a chair maybe they do now, that is a nice option.

The Largest RV Show in America starts on Wednesday in Hershey! :woohoo: That is where I have seen them. They advertise that they will have over 1200 RV's to look at! :dance3:

I think you'd be unhappy in it with 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. You can also get a light regular travel trailer or pop up for less money and more room.

I do agree, they are so cute!

Ok, call me terrible and spoiled, but we are traveling with 3 kids, no pets, don't even have any, but 3 kids, and 2 adults, and I still get kinda cabin feverish in the 5th wheel, and it's a 31 foot rear living with a front bedroom and kids sleep on couch and dinette made out.
Man, I am a rotten camper, ROFL.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Oh I SO agree. We have a 38' travel trailer that gets curious looks because it looks so big. We have our own bedroom, the kids have their own bedroom with triple bunks and a table that makes into a bed. A huge slide out living room, dinette AND a bathroom with a garden tub. I will admitt, it wasn't my idea. My DH said if he has to go camping it's going to be in something he can fit into (he's 6"4" and 285 lbs). I consider it our cabin on wheels.

That would be great for when the kids are out of the house, or too old to go camping with us. They look adorable, but no fun for a family.

Hope you get to Disney anyway!
