We have 2 rooms booked at PBH, but with the recent crowd reports, I'm starting to think maybe we should just stay in 2 rooms at DoubleTree for 1/2 the price. I wish I had a crystal ball to see whether or not it'll stay quiet up through our week. . . <sigh>

Personally I'd say you are wasting your money staying on-site.

we are here right now and so far have loved using the hotel express pass. The lines are really not that bad only used it on Simpsons and MIB, we will see tomorrow at IOA with Harry Potter but we get into the park an hour earlier so we are hitting HP right away. We have loved staying on site at the HRH!!
