I usually slow cook my ribs in the crock pot but we're having such a hot spell that I don't even want to plug it in! Anyone have a good recipe for grilling ribs? Thanks!

We have never grilled them completely. We usually wrap them in foil and bake them until they are tender, and then throw them on the grill for a few minutes on each side to ticken up the bbq sauce and add a bit of crisp to the outside.

I also bake mine first. My mother used to boil hers, but I really don't like that smell.

Before baking, I sprinkle salt and spread mined garlic on the ribs.

When I take them out of the oven I mix half of a bottle of Kraft BBQ sauce with the cranberry-orange relish that comes in a tub (if I can find it) and cover them with this.

Then I bake some more or throw on the grill.

It's yummy!

I don't bother to precook my ribs. I actually don't care for the texture of them when they are precooked. I just cut them into two rib portions, and place them on the grill. Brown them and then turn the heat down and let them finish cooking. I make a sauce using ketchup and HP (steak) sauce.
