Anyone Have A Good Experience At NASCAR Cafe?

We are going to be going down in November and wanted to do a lunch or dinner at NASCAR Cafe. My hubby just started to get into NASCAR this year and my two boys love it so I was going to make it a must do until I read all the bad reviews. Please tell me there are those out there with some good experiences there???

Please share your bad experiences too, I need all sides to make an informed decision.

I'm not a nascar fan, but the restaurant itself is pretty cool. there are real cars hanging above you, and it gets LOUD in there when they fire up the engines over the speakers. if you are a fan, there is a lot of things to see. I just think the menu is ordinary and overpriced for the food you get. hard rock has a similar menu, but the food quality is much better. nascar cafe has a nice view from the second floor deck. if you're fans, check it out. when we've eaten there, you could see obvious nascar fans loving the atmosphere. just expect an overpriced, average meal. but I guess that's a large percentage of orlando dining.

Yes, we've eaten there several times and it's always good. We usually stick to appetizers, burgers and fries though, haven't tried the other menu items.

They've got a bar area downstairs with games around it, and a car that hangs overhead. It's neat to look up at it. The kids will love the arcade racing games, bring lots of cash for them. They have draft beer specials all the time. Yes, it is noisy in the bar area. You'll probably go upstairs to eat.

Agree with ordering apps and sharing. Best idea would be to visit for lunch.
This also goes for the HRC.

I like Nascar too , the climate and food was terrific!!! While we were eating there in last June me and my family were sitting on the balcony , and it was awesome. It over looked most of CityWalk, and the parks!!!!

We went in Aug '05 and it was very nice, we both enjoyed our meals and wouldnt hesitate to eat there again

last time we were there was back in 04, but my mother who is very picky had the catfish said it was very good....

I thought it was just as good as any other meal i got there.

As the Mom of three boys, NASCAR Cafe is a must on our trip. (Hubby likes it too) Never had a bad experience there. The boys love the place- lots of tv screens showing racing and interviews. I think there is a little audience/diner interaction with "Start Your Engines" or something if I remember correctly. Don't forget to bring you AAA card- nice dining discount.Enjoy!

I haven't been to the one in Florida but the one we have in Greensboro has the best onion rings - thin and crispy - not those big frozen things you get at some places. For me, that's a good reason alone to eat there.

They have really good burgers and the onion rings are very good! Prices are comparable with most of the other resturants at USF & IOA. There are several big screen tv's showing clips from past races and wrecks. They probably show live races if any are going on. There is lots of memorabelia and race cars hanging from the ceiling.

We ate there 3 times last year. Food was great. DH always had steak. I always got the pulled pork. I think it is great for kids...one place where they don't have to "sit still & be quiet."

It seems that there are plenty of readers here who like Nascar Cafe. Just for the record my husband and kids who will usually eat anything still talk about how BAD Nascarr Cafe was. It must be the type of food, you either love it or hate it!
