Anyone have a FoodSaver?

DH is away so I watched Infomercials half the night...uh oh.

I want a FoodSaver...I think. There are all different kinds. If you have one, which one do you have? Do you like it? Do you USE it?

Bought my mom and dad the Food Saver for Christmas, I think a year ago. They didn't ask for it but they are hard to buy for (they never want anything).

Anyway.....they LOVE it!!! I know people that have gotten another brand and they weren't too thrilled about it. I would go with the Food Saver brand. DH even wants to get one now

We LOVE our foodsaver!!!! It sits on the counter and we use it all the time. We have the one that you can attatch the hose for the canister as well as the mason jar attatchments and it is wide so it will do the 11 inch bags. We got it for Christmas and would recommend it!! Although I would recommend the one we have and not the small one since the small one will not do the larger bags!! If you have any questions feel free to PM me!!

We have had our FoodSaver for about 3.5 years and we still use it on a daily basis. The food really does stay fresh longer and my freeer hold so much more stuff. It looks like a filing cabinet with all of those vacuum bags in it! I freeze things in single meal portions so there is always something that we can either microwave or boil-in-a-bag and have for a last-minute meal.

We also have the machine with the hose attachment so we can vacuum seal canning jars and cannisters. Marinating in the vacuum environment works so much faster!

As you can tell, we love our machine and would run out immediately and replace it if it were to break.

dw bought me the sears brand at my request for christmas this year, It didnt impress me at all so we took it back and bought the food saver at BJs, it was more money but well worth it. You get more stuff with it and a much better machine.
I would recomend it

We have one. LOVE IT!! We go to sam's/costco and stock up on meat....it really does keep food fresher. We have the one that does canisters and bottles too. I would recommend getting the larger one.
