I have to replace my television in the bedroom. Looking at a 32" Dynex at BestBuy for $289. Seems to have all good reviews, but after some digging around Dynex is a BestBuy brand. Just curious if anyone had experience with Dynex tv's--good and bad comments appreciated. :confused3

My current tv is probably at least 15 years old--the picture is fine, but when I turn the power off the power light remains on and makes a noise. My point is I really don't need top of the line, but I don't want something that I am going to need to replace in a year or two. Thanks!:thumbsup2

We purchased a Dynex last year for my father for Christmas. He loves it, and has been thrilled with the quality. My brother is really into electronics and has the best of everything....and he was the one who suggested the Dynex.

My DS has a 19" Dynex in his room. We bought the one with the dvd player built in. We have had it for about 2 years and the tv works great but the dvd player quit working after about 4 months.
In saying that I have read since that that is a common problem with combos. So we just hooked up an old dvd player to it and it works perfect.

We have a 19 inch Dynex on our kitchen counter. The picture is fine and we haven't had any problems with it in over 2 years. All of our other tvs are Samsung and I do like them better and the dispaly quality seems better but they also cost more. I would advise watching the deal sites and waiting for the Super Bowl deals before buying one. We're coming up on a good time to get tvs on sale.

Dynex is one of many brands manufactured by Funai (who also manufactures other store brands, as well as more familiar names like Sylvania, Emerson, and others).

And yes, Dynex is exclusive to Best Buy.

I had a 32 inch Dynex. The picture went after about 16 months. When I was looking for replacement parts it seemed to be a comon complaint so we just replaced it instead. I love the picture on my Samsung.

We have a 32 inch Dynex in our bedroom and it's a really nice tv for the price. We've had it for about 15 months and have had no issues with it. We had first bought one with the built in dvd player and it went out within a week. Not to mention it was a very noisy dvd player. I'd steer away from ones with the built in player.

Same here. We also had a 32 inch Dynex and the picture blew after one year. I actually read terrible reviews online after our tv went. I would never buy one again. Now we have a Sony Bravia which is awesome.

We have two in our house and love them. I think the picture quality is great and so far have not had any issues. One is a 24 inch and the other is a 26 inch.

We have a 19 or 22 inch (too lazy to measure!) Dynex mounted in our kitchen. It was 199$ at Christmas time, with the comparable Samsung being about $450. I looked at them side by side, and Samsung picture quality was definitely better, but Dynex perfectly fine for the kitchen. I will say I saw reviews about the sound quality being not that great, but the reason is the speakers are in the back of the unit. Ours is mounted up in the corner of the room above our banquet, and the sounds bounces off the wood behind it and is projected back into the small area around the banquet. It works for us because of the size and shape of the space, but it might not for everyone.

We have had a 22 Dynex for 2 years and is still working great, we just bought a 32" Dynex for our bedroom in Nov and love it. For the price it really was the way to go.
