Our 12 yr old cocker spaniel has congestive heart failure and is on these 2 meds. The biggest problem is horrible diarrhea. She has been on them a month. Vet gave us anti-diarrheal med. which helps, but I'd hate to have to give her THAT med daily on top of the others. Just wondering if anyone else has experience with this.

She has a knack for having these accidents JUST as I'm about to leave for work.
Thank you!

My cat was on endocard. She never had any potty problems. She was on it for over a year. Sadly, we lost her at Thanksgiving. Her kidney's failed.

Our 13 yr old miniature poodle has an enlarged heart and is on lasix and enacard. She's been on the enacard and the vet just put her back on the lasix a few weeks ago.

I've noticed some diarrhea recently, but with 4 other dogs it's hard to guess which one it came from. Despite being blind she can find the paper better than the puppies who can see.

My mom's dog was on Lasix and it gave him diarrhea also. Not much you can do unfortunately unless you give the anti-diarrhea meds. He too had a knack for going just as she was about to leave. He had a very large tumor with metastases and was in congestive heart failure. They just had to have him put to sleep as he stopped eating, was not interested in going out, didn't bark, and was falling over. Very sad. I hope your dog is doing okay. Maybe you could try the newspaper or can you keep him confined to say the kitchen when you are gone? My mom sometimes did that because it was easier to clean up the kitchen floor when Bubba had an accident than trying to clean up the rug. Good luck to you. It's very hard to have a sick doggie. :(

Oh, she is in the kitchen. Thank goodness for easy to clean tile! She is doing ok as far as she loves to eat, loves to go out (but she has a torn ligament also) and seems happy overall.

My 13 year old poodle has congestive heart failure and is on lasix, lanoxin, and enalapril. It doesn't seem to be helping at all. She has fluid in her lungs and you can hear it when she pants. She doesn't have any diarrhea but she sure is peeing a lot. He has me giving her lasix twice a day!
